    Yuasa KA3F27 batteries

    Hello everyone
this topic has been dealt with before but I still don't know how to read the date

I bought a new YUASA 85ah 800a 12v battery, I checked the volts and it has 12v. It seems to me that it should have at least 12.5 or 13v - I have 2-year-old batteries in other vehicles and they have 13v. I asked the seller where I can read the year of production, he replied that he had no idea. Please help

It seems to me that the year of production should be burned on the casing. The first two digits are the year and the next two are the week of manufacture.
Recently, I encountered a situation that the replaced batteries do not last as long as the originals. The original battery could last 3 - 4 years in the device and after replacing the device returns to me after half a year. I compared the batteries and the original date would actually coincide with the date of manufacture of the device, while the "new" batteries usually have the first two digits 11 or 12. I asked the seller where the year of manufacture is and how you answered me that the seller does not know anything about it. That's why I said "I think" at the beginning of the post.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around understanding the production date and voltage standards of Yuasa KA3F27 batteries. A user inquired about how to read the production date on their newly purchased Yuasa 85ah 800a 12v battery, which showed a voltage of 12v, lower than expected. Responses included suggestions to check for a barcode and indications that the production date might be encoded on the battery casing, with the first two digits representing the year and the following two the week of manufacture. There was also speculation about the meaning of the final numbers on the battery, with a query about whether "27" indicated a production year of 2007. Additional discussions included a reference to the Yuasa 7000 series EFB YBX7027 battery and decoding its production year.
