It's time to replace the battery - BOSCH s5 has gone to the land of free electrons after just four years of use in the Mediterranean climate ... I became interested in Yuasa batteries - I have one in a motorcycle since the new (2005) used occasionally and WORKS without any problems. cars of this brand are just as durable? Unfortunately, I did not find too many opinions on the Internet ...

Unfortunately, I also found out that there is no worse crap than Bosch batteries.
Even some no-name can be better. Yuasa is a well-known producer of gel batteries, e.g. for alarms, and they perform very well there. I did not know that they do for cars - but it is definitely not a bush company.

I have purchased a Banner battery from the Starting Bull series ... service - under the sticker are plugs for electrolyte control.

Bosch died in Yaris after 3 years, so far he is riding the Warta and it is ok, Delta was probably sitting at the original (he survived 8 years).

Yuasa is the top shelf. Quality of batteries factory-installed in cars.
10 years, no problem. My personal experience with this brand from several years ago. I hope no dad or bosza has bought them recently and they still keep their level.

I do not know how I had factory in suzuki samurai. Born in 2003, it still runs in the MT8.132.2 tractor with a two-cylinder Lombardini (parked under the shelter). There is no view of the manufacturer's markings, only the Suzuki lettering. Tough brute.

No, only chinols passionately counterfeit them. Fujjj. I am a fan of AC Delco.

I bought a YBX5005 YUASA for Subaru. He was walking like a storm ... 3.5 months and suddenly he collapsed completely. Car in the garage.

    >>13768063 I have had a Yuasa SY50-N18L-A in a Virago 1100 for twenty some years. Replacement every 4 years. I won't buy another company. For the car, also recently Yuasa.

Topic summary

The discussion compares the longevity and performance of Yuasa car batteries to Bosch S5 batteries in Mediterranean climates. Bosch S5 batteries reportedly failed after about four years, with some users describing Bosch batteries as inferior or unreliable. Yuasa batteries, known for their gel technology and use in motorcycles and alarms, are praised for durability and quality, with some users reporting up to 10 years of trouble-free operation and consistent performance in cars and motorcycles. Other brands mentioned include Banner, Warta, Delta, and AC Delco, with mixed experiences. Specific Yuasa models such as YBX5005, YBX5012, and SY50-N18L-A are cited, with generally positive feedback except for one case of early failure in a Subaru. Overall, Yuasa is regarded as a premium, reliable brand for automotive batteries, especially compared to Bosch in similar conditions.
