    Hello,
I have a problem with adjusting the load in the Kettler Golf magnetic bike, something is probably wrong with the adjustment cord (that's what I bought) probably fell off the regulator from its place. Is there any way to put it on, I don't know what it looks like from the wheel side because I couldn't take off the pedals so stiffly. Sure it is. The cable is to be fastened with a ferrule in this stop plate. You pull the rope over the top, you may have to stretch it a little and arrange it so that the thinner end fits into the hole and rests the wider part against the metal plate. The tension in the cable should prevent it from falling out.

This is the problem, it is not possible to physically stretch this cable to insert it, it is missing 3 mm, and besides, the bicycle spins with maximum resistance force and the cord is not tight, should the pedals spin freely?

So either something is confusing somewhere. Or the link is not from this equipment. Or something is wrongly put together. Either the line has to be installed in sequence - first from this end, then from the other. You may need to fully disconnect the cable and reinstall it. By the way, release the mechanism so that it can be adjusted normally.

What do you mean to release the mechanism? is it possible to loosen the cable at the bottom of the pedals and tighten it again? I do not know what it looks like inside, I only managed to put my hand in and the line is nowhere stuck. Do you know how the magnetic resistance adjustment mechanism works, because if the cord is free at the top, why is the resistance on the pedals at the maximum load?

You have to disassemble it and loosen the mechanism. Either something is jammed or badly put together. It may be that the line is loose, because the mechanism is tightened to the maximum and it is pulled out to the maximum. Unfortunately, you cannot repair anything without demolition and verification.

This is how it works. When the line is loosened, the maximum load is applied. You have to unscrew the covers, the line is twisted with a "turnbuckle". This is where the pull is done

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with the load adjustment cord on the Kettler Golf magnetic bike. The user reports difficulty in adjusting the load due to the cord possibly falling off the regulator. Responses suggest that the cord should be fastened with a ferrule and that it may need to be reinstalled if it is too loose or jammed. The mechanism may require disassembly to properly adjust the cable tension and ensure the pedals spin freely. It is noted that when the cord is loose, maximum resistance is applied, indicating a need for proper installation and adjustment of the mechanism.
