I'm looking into how to modify/make a custom firmware for STB-7710, which would allow us to use USB ports and to use STB as HTPC.
While looking on Google for any info, I came across an ad from a guy who's selling two 7710 in Poland, with custom firmware, able to play files from USB.
Also one guy here in Croatia told that he was able to make the same with help from some Polish forum, but I'm searching for anything for over a year with no luck.
My site with the progress is blagus.info.
(In Croatian, you can use Google Translate, it should translate fine because I don't use slang.)
I got root access on STB-7710 and Scenegate 8000, and I can run customized Opera browser found on Scenegate 8000 from Optima Telekom provider in Croatia.
I'm wondering has anyone in Poland done something similar? If so, I'd like to hear something about it, do you have some media player running or anything else?
