    Hello
In the children's mobile, the battery spilled and the wire broke off (in the photo in the red circle). I'm wondering if I can fix it myself? For example, by inserting another wire, e.g. from the remote control, in place of the detached wire? Does it require any more serious intervention?

And why wouldn't it be possible? As long as it fits and there is an electrical connection.

The wire is half the misery. Many batteries contain toxic substances that would need to be cleaned thoroughly if spilled. I mean mercury, lead and others depending on the type of battery. I am not a chemist and I do not know if these substances will not permanently penetrate the material, but for a child who likes to take something in his mouth and taste it, everything should be free of such impurities. It's up to you to decide what to do next, maybe other forum users will comment. Personally, I would throw it away, of course, to the corner where I collect electro-waste and from time to time organize transport for disposal.

This is a carousel above the cot and the part where the batteries are located is not accessible to the child. And do I have to weld this spring (contact) somehow, or is it enough that I find one that fits rigidly between the battery and this plate? Thank you for your answer, I feel sorry for this carousel, I would really like to save it somehow.

Solder this wire and you'll be fine.
