Hello. I am looking for a simple graphics application that supports JPG.

I need to mark the dimensions of the photographed objects in large numbers.

The end result should be something like this:

Simple graphic and technical program with JPG support - adding dimensions of obj

The point is that the program should be able to apply such arrows and enter any dimension normally from the keyboard - I do not need anything else.

And there is a chance that I will find out how to import jpeg in the program and which option is to apply dimension arrows? Because I installed it, but you are going to get lost between the options ...

In every? I have been using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 CE and I know a bit for a long time and somehow there is no such function ... or I do not know it? But okay, I'll check out GIMP, although I don't know that he has anything like that either.

    Hello, my first post :)

    Quote:
Inkscape (Free, I don't know it but should have it)

Not only free, but also open source, so you can use it for commercial work. It would be very easy and fun to apply such arrows (regular line + arrow-shaped ends ;) ) only one thing but - Inkscape slows down from version to version and takes more and more RAM. Well ... One more thing: export only to PNG. Maybe there are some plugins that allow you to export to JPEG.

    1) Open the image in the program or create a new file and drag the JPEG there.
    2) click on the line icon and mark the first and second point
    3) having selected the line, press ctrl + shift + f - we will see the color option, and in probably the last tab there are options for the end / start of the line.

If we want to rotate the text, we use the text input function. After writing, we go to the selection mode. The first click allows you to resize. By clicking on the object for the second time, we have the handles for rotation. You can also do something like Text> Snap Text to Path with both the line and text selected.

I know that the topic is from 2014, but I had a similar problem and I was also looking for such a program.
As I was able to find it and it is free for commercial use, I decided to dig out the topic.

IPhotoDraw, because we are talking about it, allows you to add dimensions to photos.

You load the picture, click linear dimension. you click on the start point and end point, then it asks for the dimensions ... and that's it!
Line ending can be formatted into arrows, arrow size, colors, text size, text position, line thickness, whether to be guides, colors, etc.

Available here, also in a portable version

    Here is an example

It doesn't work, what am I doing wrong?
