    Hello,
How to remove the mixer in the shower cabin?
The cabin is from Praktiker from 2005 (Aquasan / Sanprim I think).
The symptom is that when a mixed water is set (half warm and half cold), then hot and cold water flows from the shower at intervals of 3 seconds (cold has more pressure then). Various "specialists" from Leroy etc. use a damaged mixer.
I managed to (with difficulty) remove the handle, but it doesn't go any further. Maybe someone knows what step now? Tried to remove that metal protruding cover but it won't budge (or with the wrong wrench).

You will probably have to disassemble the entire cabin and, on the other hand, disassemble it.
    But I'm not really sure.

When I watched cheap cabins in a supermarket, there is no access from the back. Everything flooded with resin :(

Forget ... Non-demountable ... Although no, undress is going, but not possible to put together.
So much for my eye. And it is quite skilled. At least that's the opinion.

You need to check if this round rim is not a nut cover (in batteries they are usually like that to disguise the nut). It is unscrewed by hand (no tools required). If it can be unscrewed, then there is a brass nut that has to be unscrewed with a wrench, which could be a problem due to more difficult access than is normally on the battery. You need the right wrench to unscrew it (wrench size usually 32, depending on the battery, but here it would have to be a ring spanner very bent). If it can be unscrewed, then the mixer insert is removed. What is the reason for removing the cartridge? Bad Stream or Leaks? If leaks, replace the gaskets, clean the ceramic parts well and lubricate them with installation ointment (with Teflon) - for this you need to disassemble the cartridge.

And it worked. First you need to remove the handle (one screw for a flat key),

then you need to unscrew this cover at the panel,

The following part is pressing down on the mixer, so you have to turn off the water first, before unscrewing it. To unscrew it, I used a frog type hydraulic wrench and unscrewed it through a rag. As you can see from the photos, I tweaked and scratched this part a bit. Fortunately, most of this damage is hidden under the handle later.

Without a mixer, it looks like this:

    Assemble in reverse order.
As for the mixer itself, it is a short fi40 that can be easily obtained (Chinese PLN 10, Italian PLN 40).

When buying a cartridge, take the old one to the store in the same pattern (it must be the same, otherwise it may not fit).

Of course, the mixer should be taken as a model, but as you can see, Chinese products are also repairable and at least this particular part is typical.
Thank you for your interest in the topic and I hope that this post will be of use to someone, and some people will verify their knowledge. I consider the topic to be resolved.

    Hello
I would like to thank the previous speakers for the super precise explanation of the topic of the mixer. I have a far china branded cabin called SAWANNAH and there is a very similar mixer. Of course, after 5 years of use, the original mixer started to leak. Structurally, it looked very similar to the pictures above, except that after removing the knob, I saw a cross-shaped screw, which should be left alone - do not unscrew it because without it it is impossible to unscrew the nut holding the mixer. In the store, I bought a Polish mixer - Krakow ceramic regulator, economic low, for opal batteries, index 884-007-86 for PLN 42.
    Thanks again for your help.
    cheers

    Hi.
I have a Savana Croma cabin and therefore the question is whether the mixer cover (from a similar one in the photo 3 from the top) is also twisted? Maybe someone knows?

    Hello
These cabins are built on the same principle, so they unscrew 90%.
I wrapped my knob with a wet cloth and slowly pressed the hydraulic frog and released it, only for me, as I wrote earlier, there was a Phillips screw that held the back part of the one into which it is screwed in, so this screw cannot be unscrewed.

    cheers

Yesterday, thanks to your information, I had no problems replacing the valve in my cabin (DIY store, about 7 years old). I distributed the dots.
Only that instead of the cloth (as above), I covered the cover with "mcgywerka" tape. Typical valve, for PLN 25 in

Thank you gentlemen, your discussion contributed to my success, and as is well known - success has many fathers!
I bought the cabin six months ago and so for six months I have already replaced the hose, all lower hinges and today the head. Chinese quality, Polish price.

Hello, gentlemen, I have a problem, I tried to replace the mixer, I bought a new one, but when unscrewing it, I broke what presses the mixer in the store, there is no such part of what I asked. What to do? I must have the water closed now ..

Maybe it is worth buying a new battery with a head of the same size and only change the clamp.

frulik or this part of the 3 photos in your post in the SAWANNA shower also need to be completely unscrewed or can you just remove the ceramic regulator, i.e. this measure and replace it with a suitable short or long one?

I'm coming back to the topic because I also had a problem in Sawan's cabin.
The biggest problem I had with cutting off the water on the installation.
In the cabin itself, the ball-shaped handle is screwed on with a screw for a flat screwdriver and the screw precisely presses against the mixer shaft. My mixer broke, so the handle fell off.
    It went on easily.
At the beginning, the stone should be removed around the perimeter of the ring adjacent to the cabin glass, then the ring should be pried and pulled out, it was not screwed on for me, it was only pressed.
Then you need to unscrew the sleeve that remained counterclockwise.
It was easy to unscrew with two hands.
This sleeve presses the mixer to the base of the mixing valve, thanks to the gasket at the back of the mixer, it seals and prevents leakage.
I bought the mixer at a plumbing store. You need to have an old model because there are different models.
I cleaned and tightened everything and it's ok.

Can this round mixer be replaced from inside the cabin? I have a problem with mine because it started leaking and I can't get to the back without disassembling the entire cabin.
