Hello! How to check if there is a signal from a satellite dish. The point is to check if the cable leading from the antenna to the decoder is broken or if the antenna is a problem.

We do not write just anywhere, but only in the sections intended for this purpose . :!:
    Regulations point 3.1.14 .
3.1.14. It is forbidden to publish entries inconsistent with the topic of a given forum or discussion thread .
In section " Antenna installations It is clearly indicated under the section heading that:
Selection of antennas, the method of conducting the receiving installation, signal division into several receivers, terrestrial and cable TV installations. Does not apply to satellite TV.

    NOT applicable to SAT.
I'm moving to the correct section. [SP5ANJ]

The easiest way is to connect a milliammeter and measure whether the converter draws current.
Another very simple method is to make a short-circuit at the receiver and check with an ohmmeter the transition at the end of the cable at the converter, or vice versa: short-circuit at the converter and check at the receiver.
Treat the antenna cable as a regular two-wire cable....
This is the easiest way to check the cable.
Checking the converter itself: it is best to replace it with another .... and check the reception..
