    Hello,

Request for help. The car was standing in front of the house for about 5 days. Everything was OK. Nice weather today so I washed it, then polished it ... the car was locked with the alarm on (standard) and I think I was too lush with the polisher because the alarm went off. I went to get the remote control (I have a keyless system) and turned off the alarm and opened the windows. I turned on the music and finished the polisher with satisfaction.

And here the stairs begin ... I want to move the car and here is Zonk ... I press Ford Power and nothing, only the converse starts ... and in a moment the information that the immobilizer is turned on and the engine is defective ... I thought it might be wrong I turned off the alarm ... but nothing helped ... I changed the forum and I used the methods to turn it off ... they did not help.

I have ELM327 ... so I wanted to connect and zonk again ... ELM cannot connect ... DTC codes that I read from the clocks:

    DTC
    160782
    90bd13
    c42268
    c40168

    engine temperature -60c
    aku 11.9

Fuses under the hood OK, fuses under the glove box OK.

additionally, the radar (active cruise control) makes strange sounds after pressing ford power ...
    =============================================

What I have checked so far:
    * I checked if the PCM is dry, if the wires (only visually) are OK, if the connectors are clean
    * I recharged the AKU
    * Forscan and scan master do not want to connect to the car
    * I checked the voltage on the F8 fuse (it is still there), I put relays R1 and R2 in places (they are identical)
    * elm config got connected but only with modules other than pcm:
    BCM

    U0100.00, 2F
    U2001, 87, 2F

    PCM - error, no data

    TCM - no data

    ABS
    U3001.00.08
    U0100, 00, 8A
    U0126.00, o8

These U0100 in the ELM Config description - the given module could not connect to the PCM ...
the question is whether these are cables or maybe the PCM itself ... can you check it somehow? In general, how to check if PCM is operational?

PS. Asking not to answer like buy IDS.

anticipating the next question ... these 11.9 are on load (i.e. radio, convers, lighting + blower fans turned on)

Not enough. The alarm was triggered, then the voltage dropped and errors spilled out. Put in a good battery, delete errors with normal hardware and it will work.

May you be right ... are these "normal" appliances also portable? I don't care to order a tow truck ...

Someone has an IDS near Błonie (Grodzisk Maz) and could come and clear the mistakes? Of course I will pay. Aku recharged, convers shows around 13.5V under load.

Remove the clamp and leave it for an hour.

Do you know on which PINs in the PCM plugs should be the power supply? Do you know how to check if PCM works at all?

I am asking because the IDS was tested and it is impossible to communicate with PCM ... and I was hoping that this IDS was a huge hello ... unfortunately.

Are all drivers unresponsive? Does the general PWM also not talk? What immo status?

You know what ... I don't know. Because I did not test it, but from what my friend told me, everything is OK except for PCM, communication to PCM, so I wanted to check if the power supply is coming to it ...

The car was repaired :-) Do not let anyone convince you that IDS is some mega great ... it can not do much more than forscan or elm config .... I wonder if colleagues IDS were able to activate the auto-closing of the door in MND4 after moving off or in FF2 activate a heated removable glass .. With ELMem you can do it in a minute ... :-)

And in addition to placing the Elma for PLN 50, over the equipment for a few thousand, will you say what was wrong?
IDS is a powerful tool, you just have to be able to use it.

one of the power cables was rotten and gave 0.5V too low voltage on the PCM ... probably under load the drop was greater but I did not check ...

Do you remember which cable it was or where it was rotten? For me, after starting the engine, this message popped up twice, but I would rather check it before it gets worse. Greetings

66fantasti66 you have found the reason, do you know which cable it is?

He is a purebred Pole and he will not answer you anymore, because if he asks, it is a miracle, and if someone does it, the topic is over, because he does not know himself.
And it's not a big deal for those who want to untype the styles from PCM and see the condition of the pins and wires with the problem.

I don't remember which one, but in the place where it comes out of the fuse box and goes to the controller.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Ford Mondeo MK4 2.0 TDCI experiencing immobilizer activation and engine issues after the alarm was triggered. The user reported that after washing and polishing the car, the alarm went off, and upon attempting to start the vehicle, the immobilizer was activated, preventing engine operation. Various troubleshooting steps were suggested, including checking the battery voltage, using ELM327 for diagnostics, and ensuring proper communication with the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). It was determined that a faulty power cable leading to the PCM was causing low voltage issues, which were resolved after replacing the damaged cable. The importance of using appropriate diagnostic tools like IDS and ELM for troubleshooting was emphasized.
