This is not grounding, it is a protective conductor.
The pin is called grounding by ignorant magazines in the newspapers. also ignorant translators of the operating instructions.
As an amateur, you can estimate whether the protective conductor is working.
Using a digital meter for PLN 15 and ....... electric kettle.
The rule is:
- you connect the kettle between L1 - PE.
Without the kettle, you measure the voltage between L-PE, after connecting the kettle, the L-PE voltage should drop by no more than 10%.
If there is an RCD on this circuit, the RCD should drop off immediately.
(you will not do the measurement). It means the security is working.
You have to make some extra N?PE transition - "socket reduction".
You can measure - not estimate, using a technical method.
The internal resistance of the socket is measured. Rw = ?U / ?I
Otherwise, Rw is the ratio of voltage change to current change on the tested socket.
Appropriate calculations should be made. You must be able to define a security reference.
