Hello, I have recently been surprised by the fashion for HDMI, everything is in HDMI, but it is possible to make your own HDMI to SCART cable (from latop to TV)?
I was looking for schematics and found nothing interesting for this task, has anyone tried to create such a cable by himself and is it profitable?

Only the converter comes into play.

Even in this case, there is no guarantee that everything will work, just look at the Forum topics that raise this issue.

I do not have a schematic for it, and I do not know if it is for HDMI as the first HDMI connector sends the signal to scart or vice versa.

The plug can be put on anything. This cable is not allowed to work.

If it has no right to work then why are they producing it?

Cińczyk will do whatever you order. For what...? Probably just to earn money. Personally, I do not know devices that could be connected with such a cable and the HDMI-Scart converter costs PLN 200 at least.

Because there are na?ve people to buy it.
All it takes is a password
"how simple it is, you don't need expensive devices that convert the HDMI signal to RGB anymore, our wonderful cable, for PLN 99 will do it" - and 300 pieces sold on the trunk.

And people think they saved a lot of money buying this great cable.

It is not even sure if these plugs are connected to this cable at all ...?.

I myself saw a 500 GB SSD on the Allegro, for PLN 149 - those who bought it "got" a lesson for life, and what was in the set when someone took it apart, because people reported problems:
    - a metal box in which 2 screws were glued with glut to ensure the weight of the whole is appropriate,
    - in the middle, an ordinary USB bone skillfully connected to the slots and programmed in such a way that it showed 500 GB in the BIOS ... - only that its real capacity was 16 GB - now you understand.

I have a small question, if I connect PlayStation 3 or 4 consoles with this adapter, will it work on an older generation TV?

Topic summary

The discussion centers around the feasibility of creating a DIY HDMI to SCART cable for connecting laptops to older TVs. Participants highlight the fundamental incompatibility between HDMI, which is a digital signal, and SCART, which is analog. They emphasize that a direct cable solution is not viable without a converter. Concerns are raised about the profitability of such cables, with some suggesting that they are marketed to uninformed consumers. The conversation also touches on the existence of HDMI-SCART converters, which are typically expensive, and the potential for misleading products in the market. Additionally, there is a query about using such adapters with PlayStation consoles on older TVs, with responses indicating that alternative connection methods exist for these devices.
