    Good day.

My generous television provider has decided to add a new decoder for the new contract for 1pln, of course I have to return the old one. The problem is that the new one has no SCART output, only HDMI.

Apparently there are converters from HDMI to SCART (the opposite is the whole mass), but my question is, are there such at a reasonable price with an RGB signal?
Because 3xRCA with composite is a laugh in the room.

Comments encouraging the purchase of a TV with HDMI can be forgiven, this is not the purpose of my search.

    greetings
    SF

    TV: Philips 28PT5025 / 58
    Decoder: Evobox

HDMI is digital, and analog SCART.

    VGA is also analog.

I saw the direct converter for 99, you can risk it from China, but it will be two months.

I do not hide it, the sound would come in handy, although the decoder theoretically has a mini-jack and coax, but how to connect it to the VGA SCART switch ...

Of course not cheap ... I would say it very well.

At these prices, I would change the TV set.

    I'm not right, gentlemen?

    TV has only two SCARTs.

    The alternatives are:
    1. Converter for the tip.
    2. Replace TV.
    3. Leave the old decoder and calm.

Yes or no, thank you for the information.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around finding an affordable HDMI to SCART (RGB) converter for the Philips 28PT5025/58 TV and Evobox decoder. Users express concerns about the lack of cheap options that provide RGB signal, as most available converters only offer composite output. Suggestions include using an HDMI to VGA converter followed by a VGA to SCART adapter, although this may affect picture quality. The need for an active signal converter is emphasized due to the digital-to-analog signal conversion required. Some users mention the possibility of sourcing converters from online platforms, albeit with potential delays. The conversation also touches on the limitations of the TV's audio inputs and the practicality of keeping the old decoder.
