A warm welcome to everyone as I am new here :)

So, I have roller shutters of an unknown brand to me ( I can't find the invoice on which there was probably the model as well as the brand of the product).
These are external roller shutters with a motor.
They are controlled with a 2-button switch.

    and here are two questions:

    1) can I use another switch with a hold-down?(currently it is without hold-down, you have to hold it for the roller shutter to work, but after closing/opening the roller shutter all the way, the motor disconnects when you keep holding the button)

    2) The second thing I would like to achieve is control by remote control. Is it possible to do this from a switch in the wall without interfering with the roller shutter?

Thank you in advance for your information. Regards :)

    Hello, both solutions are possible.
    1) you can use such an ON/OFF switch :) with support without any problem.
    2) here it is already a bit more difficult and if you don't want to forge additional and invest in additional modules then give up on the remote control :)

If you have access to the cables near the roller shutter it can be done, but then you have to leave the old switch.

I will say yes, forge at the switch I could, the question is how much it will cost. Because it doesn't pay me to invest money in a stupid remote control :)

And I will ask a little from the other side ...
does an external roller shutter give better burglary protection than manual shutters e.g. with an automatic bolt ????
I would ask for some opinions on whether it is worth spending more money in automation and how this translates into the security of the house against burglary.

    Hello.
In 99% of properties, external roller shutters are not burglar-proof roller shutters.
They are aluminium sheets a few tenths of a millimetre thick filled with polyurethane foam.
So whether you use automatic locks (which unlock when the roller shutter is raised in the upper part) or use locking hangers, the armour can still be pulled out of the guides without using too much force....
    Best regards.

    Added after 6 [minutes]:

As for the switches, it is usually enough to remove the springs from under the keys, and the radio control can be inserted under the switch (without ripping up the walls) if the power wires (230V phase and zero) and the wires from the roller shutter motor meet under the switch ( zero and "phase1"-rotation up , and "phase2"-rotation down).
    Greetings.
