32A sockets / plugs are larger than 16A

However, as for the self-made power plug, I recommend buying a ready one, electricity is not a joke.

Returning to the ground of the road moderator kkas12 ... The term "banana connector" is used by the manufacturer of measuring devices and accessories - the Sonel company. http://www.sonel.pl/pl/katalog-produktow/przewody/pirect-12-m-niebieski.html

Buddy "elvis". Baba about bread and grandpa about heaven. Here, a colleague who found this topic writes about banana plugs for 3f sockets and not about cables or measuring connectors. The moderator is right and wrote it in a joking form. To a friend founding this thread. Do not mess with "adapters" in power sockets. On this portal you can buy everything, but if you damage the device or worse. someone has an accident, YOU answer.

Well, I don't know yet whether 16A or 32A. But maybe you know what are the banana sockets there?

These wires are terminated with "banana" plugs. They are inserted into the otherwise "banana" sockets located in the AGT-16C adapter housing.

I have Sonel's instruments and I'd like to know where to buy them myself.

The moderator knows perfectly well what a connector or a banana plug is.
But he knows, too. that under no circumstances should it be used as a "substitute plug" for a three-phase socket !!!
    Also for single-phase.

Playing with banana plugs inserted into power sockets is asking for trouble.
You only have two hands and the contacts in the socket are four or even five.
So it could turn out to be extremely dangerous.
In my opinion, you should get the right plugs.

If you do it only to measure voltage and not a short circuit loop, then you should go in the direction of buying a power plug as needed, a meter of cable 5x2.5mm2 of a choke to it, a hermetic box, a square or a rectangle and attach it " isolated banana sockets "so that the conductive element is not accessible in case of accidental touch. Now everything is secured like this, even banana plugs are covered (not all :) ) and you have an adapter. There is still the question of marking the plugs so as not to make a stupid boom. In addition, I would recommend making a strip (cube) inside with a power cord, go on it and insert fuses between it and the sockets, ceramic fuses (with extinguisher), a strip like a tra-lala. Safely professionally and with a substitute for security. The only question is whether you want it on a budget or professionally, because PLN 100 will be spent plus the constructor's own intention. Advantage? if so, you change the plug and have instead of 16A 32A.

    My friend.
The smallest power socket is the 16A socket. They are 4 or 5-pin. As a colleague wrote. plug it all in the installation box. Take the wires out of this box and end them with plugs 16 x4, 16 x5, 32x4, 32x5. 63A Sometimes found in villages but these are incidental cases. There are plugs for such plugs. For this, banana plugs for the meter. The order of connecting such "equipment" is probably known.

Recommended solution "connect it all in the junction box. Take the wires out of this box and terminate them with plugs 16 x4, 16 x5, 32x4, 32x5. 63A" is unacceptable, because applying voltage to any plug will result in an immediate appearance of voltage on the contacts of each of the other plugs.
And no plugs can guarantee that there will be no shock or other accident.

    Warning # 4.

Topic summary

The discussion centers on the differences in size between 16A and 32A 3-phase 4-wire sockets and plugs, confirming that 32A sockets are larger than their 16A counterparts. Participants caution against using banana plugs as substitutes for power sockets, emphasizing safety concerns. The term "banana connector" is associated with measuring devices from the Sonel brand. Suggestions include purchasing ready-made plugs for safety and discussing the construction of a custom adapter for voltage measurement, ensuring proper insulation and safety features. The conversation highlights the importance of using appropriate connectors for electrical applications to prevent accidents.
