    Hello everyone.
I have a big request for you. I am in the process of renovating my flat. The flat is in a block of flats from the 30's so I am replacing literally everything.
I am completely unfamiliar with electronics (maybe I am green)
I would like to install gas detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, LED lighting including emergency CO control, alarm, cameras, LAN, intercom, lighting control. Possibly disconnection of gas and water valves.
So that it can be controlled remotely.
It's just a matter of whether I can do it with your help and goodwill (to help me).
If so, do you perhaps have any further comments on the list I have listed.
For my part, I would be happy to help you with construction (structural) or formal matters.
I would be grateful for your help. in about 2 weeks I will be laying screed ... i am installing the electrics in the screed.

Your requirements call for a savvy electrician/electronics technician and on site - remote assistance unrealistic with your knowledge.

Perhaps I can put it more precisely. I am not an automation specialist. In the field of electronics I have a basic knowledge.
With the help of the forum, I have repaired a UPS and a few other things. With a schematic diagram I can do a lot of things that are not too complicated. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a professional company with my current earnings in the construction industry. Hence my post. What of the given things would I be able to do?

You have raised the bar as high as you can and are complaining about wages and not being able to afford a contractor.
Who will program the controls, what system have you chosen, have you calculated the cost of the equipment and installation?
What about knowledge, do you think the forum will design your installation step by step and guide you by the hand?

Yes, and I'm not complaining about the wages. It's just the way it is and that's that. If you are assembling such systems and you perceived this as a desire to get out of hiring someone like you, then you took it well. I do most things myself because I enjoy it and the fact that I can't afford to employ you is another matter. In fact, I would be happy to take someone on. But I also think that if I take a professional who is good at it then I should pay them well for it and that's the problem. I have helped a couple of times on another forum people who had building problems. For example, one of them wanted to move a masonry partition wall on top of a ribbed ceiling and all the builders said it couldn't be done. He took pictures. He gave the necessary parameters, i.e. what kind of ceiling, span and material he wanted to use for the masonry. I analysed his case and gave him a solution with drawings. During the course of the workmanship, he called a few times to ask for details. Did it work? It worked.
In my case, it's a little worse as the complexity is greater. If you can't do it, it's difficult.
That's why I turned to you as knowledgeable people hoping that someone like you would illuminate the subject and help me, as I guess that's what these types of forums are for :) .
If indeed the price of materials is high I will give up a few things.
I would be grateful for your help.

Do you want to do a dedicated system installation where you connect and run all these components, or do you want to make these devices yourself from the PCB to the enclosure ?

    Hello
To combine all the functions you want to control you will not find a dedicated device on the market

i have decided on an industrial PLC freely programmable in the solution of my house. It allows to add "blocks" as the flow of cash and fantasy (in Polish conditions I think the best), and at the same time allows for quick replacement in case of failure.
In addition, industrial equipment is of much better quality and is usually not a problem
however, there are a number of things to be done at the construction or renovation stage

remember that the price of parts for the beginning is about 10,000 PLN (controller, touch panel, actuators) added to a normal installation

Hey... I invite you to visit my blog, I think you'll find solutions that meet your economic and competence conditions. Most of the things you write about have been rehearsed by most dedicated home systems/controllers.... including those on the economy regimen. The PLC I would advise against only for the reason that you would have to spend too much time on it to get to the level of functionality that dedicated controllers have basically built in on a plug-5-minute setup-use basis. Either way it's a topic that should be embraced by a competent person. But if you service devices based on the forum and can read schematics.... this is a good prediction ;)

From my stroma, I can offer SpeedKey devices.
These are devices mainly for controlling lighting in buildings. With these devices, you can control lighting, create lighting scenes, control roller shutters, heating, air conditioning, dimming, and in the network version (Series 3000), you can control it from a smartphone app thanks to the supplied tablet.
Priced very reasonably, it does not require any control units. A bus position is sufficient for communication between the devices. Failure of one device does not affect the operation of the rest of the system. Installation and programming trivially simple.

If required, I would be happy to discuss in more detail.
