    Welcome,

I am looking for information (diagram) on how to connect a fibaro dimmer (Fibaro Dimmer FDG211) to a standard staircase installation.

    My situation is as follows:

I would like to connect a Fibaro dimmer which, according to the instructions (link) can work with bistable switches (not bell switches) and can be used for a staircase installation. For information see "Fibaro System Designer and Installer Guide" on page 15. "Fibaro System Designer and Installer Guide"

Unfortunately I have not found a diagram anywhere that describes the situation I would like.
Would it be possible to find someone who can translate the diagram from the "Guide", where, it looks like mono-stable switches are shown, to one where bistable switches are shown?

Thanks very much for the reply, but it looks like I can't use this diagram....

From what I understood from the schematic I would have to install the dimmer somewhere between the two switch boxes and the bulb, possibly pulling 2 extra wires between the switch boxes.
Is there a configuration that will allow me to install the dimmer in one of the switch boxes without pulling extra wires between them or between the box and the bulb?

Sorry if these are trivial questions, but this is my first electrical project and I am not an expert....

It is very likely that all the cables you will need are in one box, above one of the switches.

I'll add my 3 cents for posterity, because I've been thinking about it myself, and as it turns out, you have to encapsulate in levels of abstraction and the problem becomes simple

i wanted to combine a staircase circuit with the Philio or PAN06

in an earlier staircase asked by colleague @Tomasz Koc

we can imagine this arrangement as a simple switch
we just don't think of a staircase switch with 3 wires + bulb + yellow.... let's look at it this way
Diagram of Fibaro Dimmer FDG211 in a staircase installation with bistable switches

and then it is simple - you have to remove the light from the circuit but leave the connection between the two switches (we treat them as one unit so they stay connected)
Then we supply the switch and PAN06 - line L
the other end of the switch (remember, we are treating the system as a whole - so the end goes via other cables to the box) is connected to s01
we feed the bulb with N01 line
the other end of the bulb is connected to the N of PAN06 and our N (usually blue) in the box
it works, but yes there is a delay of a few seconds from the key on the wall - from the phone it works immediately

sorry for reheating the chop - but if anyone needs help then write, I'm using the help so I'm throwing in there too
