Hello, yesterday, while taking a bath, I noticed that my bathtub had a crack at the bottom :-( . I would like to ask what is the best to glue such a crack so as not to replace the bathtub with a new one.

    Regards

Cast iron, acrylic, ceramic? The steel one would rather not break.

Probably acrylic, because it feels like plastic :-) .
I would like to add that I do not have access from the bottom, only from the top I could stick.

The bathtub broke because it is probably not supported well on the bottom. If you don't have bottom access, you won't be able to glue it properly.

How is it not accessible ?, you have to take the bathtub out of the built-in, turn it over, glue it with a glass mat and resin, several layers.
Go to the workshop / plant where they produce / glue roof car racks, they will give you a few mats and some resin for a bottle.

Gluing will help for a while. Such things are not sticky, especially from the top. To glue the bathtub you need to pull out the bathtub, and when it is pulled out, it is better to put in a new one immediately and have the problem solved for years.

But you won't stick to the top, if only because you have enamel.

Poor business, considering the fact that a kilogram of resin with several mats costs PLN 50.

Don't you understand what your colleagues are writing? You won't make this mod of the top. The bathtub is enameled on the usable side and you won't stick it together. And if it does, it will leak.
You absolutely have to dismantle the bathtub. If only to assess the condition of the crack. If it's a tiny gap, you will secure it. If there is a star crack, you won't do anything about it. But gluing will only help temporarily. This is not a steel bathtub, in which it is enough to paint over a chip of enamel and it will be used for the next years.
Apart from the crack itself, you should consider what caused it. How is the bathtub positioned? What is it standing on?

Glue it from the top only what will it look like? Either gluing from the bottom or a new bathtub. You can apply a patch from above, but it will be visible and it may be unpleasant to the touch, because you will not get such a surface that would not bother you - or what you can do now is fill the defect in advance with putty, but it is a disposable one.

I do not know how now, but it will be 8 years ago when my close friend financed his campaigns on it and got to the parliament, the one who wanted to change the anthem. Now it doesn't stick anymore because it doesn't have to.
It was made quite nice and painted glossy, it was possible to order it to match the color of the car.

What would he stick this bathtub with?

Weak business, as if he had to give a bottle for a few mats and some resin. Cheaper to buy in a store.

For guests who worked for him, in such vapors, a half-type F-16 drink for PLN 7 is grazing :) .

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user who discovered a crack in their acrylic bathtub and is seeking advice on how to repair it without replacing the entire unit. Responses highlight the challenges of repairing a bathtub with limited access, emphasizing that proper gluing requires access from the bottom. Suggestions include using glass mat and resin for repairs, but many participants caution that such fixes are temporary and may not hold well, especially if the bathtub is enameled. The consensus leans towards the necessity of removing the bathtub for a proper assessment and repair, or considering a replacement for a long-term solution.
