    Hello,

I apologize in advance if I am writing in the wrong section.
I`m looking for help on the Internet (emergency), because I`m certain that I need to call an electrician - but I don`t want to go crazy until he visits.

Well, I THINK that a loud, regular buzzing sound lasting several seconds was coming from one of the sockets. Only when I turned off the differential, which also included the sockets, did the regular buzzing disappear. When I turned the differential back on, the buzzing was gone.
The buzzing was loud - no sizzling sound, no strange smell from the sockets.
I connected a phone charger to each socket to check if it worked. It turns out that every socket works. There is no buzzing noise when connecting the charger.
With the differential switch off, I also listened to sounds from the sockets - there was silence.
For now, I turn off the plug responsible for these sockets every night. Another thing is that I`m not sure if it`s really the sockets... panic won at the very beginning and instead of listening, I started turning off the differential.

Do you have any ideas what it could be?

I mean? Don`t move, leave the plug off until the electrician visits? How else can I protect myself until the electrician visits?

Yes, turn off the installations and wait for the electrician.

Just let it be an electrician because it would be useful to measure Riso and IPZ... regardless of the type of network. Maybe it`s just innocent stinginess of the contractor and instead of pigtailing, connecting on sockets, or maybe damaged insulation on the wires...

I have a trusted electrician who installed installations in this house about 4 years ago...
    We`ll see what he says...
Thanks for the advice, I`ll let you know when I know more.

And listen - until his visit, just turning off the cap will be enough, or should the differential with all the caps assigned to it be turned off?

Sorry for the stupid questions, but electricity is black magic to me...

Trusted? Will he issue a measurement report? Want, demand, require protocol. If you are sure that the circuit breaker you have chosen is for this particular socket circuit - that is enough. If you are not so sure - no is not enough.

For me it`s just a botched installation somewhere. Something is not making contact at some connections or branches, hence the buzzing noise. If you know this, you will be able to locate and remove the fault without any unnecessary questions. And if you have no idea about it, you`d better hire a professional electrician because you may get into trouble not only with electric shock but also with fire!

After a very long time, I am back with an explanation.
    And I feel so bad.
    As it turned out:
I turned off the differential switch on which the plug responsible for the sockets on this floor is connected.
After about 2 hours I heard this strange sound again. This time I didn`t go to the traffic jams, but to the place where the sound was coming out. As it turned out? The buzzing sound came from a beautiful, plump, 10-centimeter grasshopper.
    Shame :)

Topic summary

A user reported a loud buzzing sound from an electrical socket, which ceased when the differential switch was turned off. Despite checking each socket with a phone charger, no buzzing occurred during this test. The user expressed concern about the safety of the situation and sought advice on whether to keep the differential switch off until an electrician could inspect the issue. Responses emphasized the importance of not risking safety and recommended waiting for a licensed electrician to conduct an inspection. Some responses suggested that the buzzing could be due to poor installation or faulty connections. Ultimately, the user discovered that the buzzing sound was caused by a grasshopper, not an electrical issue.
