Hello.
As the old drive started to shrink, I got a new Seagate 1TB 7200rpm, SATA.
I installed the disk in my computer.
Unfortunately, Windows 10 (let all hackers take it into format etc.) does not see the new disk. Total Commander also failed.
He only sees it in the device manager. But there is no option in the properties as to whether it is formatting, or doing the partition, or anything that can be done with it. Theoretically, he should recognize it after starting the computer and give it a new letter. But theory misses practice.
Internet and MS support failed. The help and description of solutions to some of the situations in W10 are unfortunately very poor. 100 tips on how to buy applications from them, and no navigation around the system and delving into more serious functions.
Therefore, I have a question - how in Windows 10, get to the disk management options? And how to adjust the new disk (format, partitioning)?
I would like to split it into two partitions, about 500 GB each. The disk is secondary and is intended to store data on one partition and larger applications on the other.
The system can see old disks and their partitions. New only as a device in the Device Manager.
I am in an administrator account with all permissions.
