    Hello.

As the old drive started to shrink, I got a new Seagate 1TB 7200rpm, SATA.
I installed the disk in my computer.
Unfortunately, Windows 10 (let all hackers take it into format etc.) does not see the new disk. Total Commander also failed.

He only sees it in the device manager. But there is no option in the properties as to whether it is formatting, or doing the partition, or anything that can be done with it. Theoretically, he should recognize it after starting the computer and give it a new letter. But theory misses practice.

Internet and MS support failed. The help and description of solutions to some of the situations in W10 are unfortunately very poor. 100 tips on how to buy applications from them, and no navigation around the system and delving into more serious functions.

Therefore, I have a question - how in Windows 10, get to the disk management options? And how to adjust the new disk (format, partitioning)?
I would like to split it into two partitions, about 500 GB each. The disk is secondary and is intended to store data on one partition and larger applications on the other.

The system can see old disks and their partitions. New only as a device in the Device Manager.
I am in an administrator account with all permissions.

"Seven" was so cool, and they gave it for free ... You stupidly got tempted and forgot that for free it's only g ... :|

Okay ... I dug myself, let Bill slap their prostate. :)

1 - Settings -> System -> in the search window (upper right corner of the window) enter "Disk", but do not click "enter" -> There are options related to disks to varying degrees. One of them is "Create and Format Hard Disk Partitions" (probably it's stuck somewhere in the "Memory" section.
A new window pops up - Disk Management.
The window is blank for a moment, then the disk list is shown. At the top in the form of a list, at the bottom in the form of windows.
The new disk is in the windows - marked in black - "Unallocated".
Click on the window and select "Initiate" from the menu.
Nothing happens, but when we click again, after a while, a new menu appears with "Create Simple Volume".
This is nothing but creating partitions. We click, select the partition size, label and format the disk. The new partition is shown in blue in the new disk pane. Blanks, unallocated seats are still black. New blue partitions. We format all partitions. Plus, it doesn't even take 3 seconds in fast mode.

And it's ready. The system sees everything.
I took a few epithets to find it, but somehow it went quite smoothly.

    End of discussion.
