    Hello,

    I am asking for help.
I bought my husband an endoscope camera that was supposed to work on android. Unfortunately, on 2 phones that we have at home, the camera does not work, at my friends', after downloading the application for external USB cameras, the device works flawlessly.

Only camera accessories were included in the set, on the box there was a QR code to download the application.

Has anyone of you had a similar problem and would know what driver you would need to download to also work on one of our phones?

Sony Xperia Miro (android 4.0) and Huawei p8 lite android (5.0) not working

Sony Xpieria Z1 (android 5.0) and two Samsung models (older, newer) friends' phones on which we checked and it works without a problem.

Thanks in advance if there is a little hint.

More information needed. How does this camera connect? It would be best to provide at least the model.

    Micro USB connection
    Camera without brand and model
It was supposed to be connected to an android phone and work, but as it turned out, not all of them.
I've read that not all phones have OTG
I made the root, but still after connecting in the USB otg helper program, a message about the lack of drivers is displayed.

These phones do not support OTG and nothing can be done about it.

Even if you buy an OTG adapter, it will probably not work because of the settings in the phone system?

None of these models support OTG so it won't work on them.

I am also updating the topic. I bought a Chinese camera a'la Endoscope called y 101. The manufacturer in the manual suggests the use of three applications: Iskam, cameraFi and An98. None of them display the image from the endoscope on my Huawei Y6 2019 phone. Of course, the phone has OTG, Android 9. After connecting many times for a second, I managed to get the image and that's it. The manufacturer only informs that the Camera does not work on Android 10. At home I also have a Sony Xperia T3 with Android 5, but none of the applications work, as well as on two Lark tablets. I also tested dozens of apps from the Play Store, with no result. My fiancée has an LG K4 phone and there the camera works beautifully together with the OTG View application. Has anyone found a solution to get the camera to work!? I read somewhere that these devices do not work with phones that have mediatek processors. Could this be it?

    Try the Endoscope Camera apps.

Thanks. I have installed all with that name and none of them want to run on my phone. I found the app completely by accident nExt Camera . It works instantly, but has some drawbacks, such as an inverted image and poor resolution. The application is in development, I wrote to the programmers - they have to change some things, but I bow to them anyway, because there are dozens of applications with ads in the play store and none can compare to this one.
However, if someone would like to suggest a different one that works, also for the older Android 4.4 (KitKat), I will be grateful.

I am refreshing the topic for a moment. I have an Honor Magic 5 Pro and according to the USB OTG Checker app (image above) the phone is OTG compatible and unfortunately the endoscopic camera does not work and no message appears to me, system Android 14, MagiXOS 8. On the other hand, on the other phone Huawei P20 Pro after installing the Inskam app (the same as on the Honor) the app automatically detected the connected camera, system Android EMUI 12. Anyone can figure out why this is happening? Thank you in advance for your reply and best regards

Have you solved the problem between the old type of android and the new one? What do you need to do on the new android for it to see the camera?

Users report that these devices do not support USB On-The-Go (OTG), which is necessary for the camera to function. Despite attempts to use OTG adapters and various applications, the camera remains non-functional on these models. In contrast, other devices, including the Sony Xperia Z1 and various Samsung models, successfully operate the camera.
