    Good morning,
I have a problem, as in the title. Ie. I can not connect the webcam (small, on a long HD USB Endoscope Camera cable) to the Samsung S7 smart phone. Connecting to a stationary computer works, and the cell does not ... And this would be an inspection camera to look into different places (well, sewerage, etc.), that is, it should be mobile.
I install the program as in the instructions (and even tried several others) and "darkness I see". That is the lack of a picture. I suspect that it's about some settings, but I have no idea what.
The Endoscope program detects the webcam, the diodes of the webcam are lit, and unfortunately I can not call the image.
Please help someone who knows this topic ...
    Thank you.

The camera has ordinary USB or smaller, eg: micro?
If normal USB is what adapter do you use?
    What software?

The camera has its own power supply or pulls electricity through the cable from the device to which it is connected? If you do not have your own power supply, do not be surprised that the smartphone sees darkness.

The camera has an ordinary USB - I activate by such a "company" reduction purchased with the phone.
As for power, it pulls through USB. And Led lights perfectly (because the camera has its own lighting). So unless the webcam should pull current from USB?

Now I can see that there is a red inscription: Missing internet permission in AndroidManifest.xml But I have no idea what this means ...

Can you use the internet? Just enter in Google: Missing internet permission in AndroidManifest.xml

The first link is better and you have: http://forum.banggood.com/forum-topic-81078.html

It looks like you have the same problem, the phone manufacturer blocked the possibility of using an additional camera.

Actually, now, as you have shown, I have read it ... However, I also read that this S7 has the OTG function. I will look even further on this internet :)

You have read "Slabo" since you write about OTG, which is not a problem! As I wrote earlier:

    That's not what I actually read :(
And has anyone ever come up with a "patch" for this "illegality" of the producer? :)

I will search for myself on the internet, but as you can see, I'm not smart :(

    Can be seen.

Without a rooted phone, it will not work. But I'm not sure, I sacrificed 20s and I do not intend more. If you want to search, maybe you can find something.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the difficulty of connecting an HD USB Endoscope Camera to a Samsung S7 smartphone. The user reports that the camera works with a stationary computer but fails to display an image on the smartphone, despite the camera being detected and its LED lights functioning. Responses suggest checking the type of USB connection, ensuring the camera has sufficient power, and addressing a potential software issue related to missing internet permissions in the AndroidManifest.xml file.
