    They switched the modem to bridge mode - so you have a public address on your computer, and since you have only one assigned, more devices have the right not to work in this configuration.

    In my case, I asked for such a configuration myself, because I have my router (TPLink 1043ND v2 with OpenWrt), on its WAN public address and I can do whatever I want on it.

    Coming back to the topic of discussion. IP in Vectra does not change often (I was one more than half a year), so you can get over it and if you change it, you can change it in the configuration of the camera preview program.
    You can also use an external VPN server (I use OVPN myself installed on the purchased VPS server), but this is a dependency on some external service. I have the same opinion about all types of dynamic DNS - everything works, and suddenly the free account expires and the meatball.

    That's right - not necessarily a bridge, but the lack of WiFi access indicates it (unless they changed something else on the occasion). If it gets a public address on the computer, it will not get to the router's panel if it does not set the address on the network adapter in the same subnet as the router.

    But there is no need to guess - paste the result of ipconfig, it will be known.

    What kind of recorder do you have? some are p2p capable, in which case it will work without a public address.
    Check in the recorder menu whether there are any p2p settings.

    Personally, I work mainly on BCS and p2p works without problems, I have clients where the only available connection is GSM and there are no problems with it.

    I also installed cheap no-name recorders, I also saw p2p options in them, but I did not have the opportunity to test.
