I have a problem with my computer because the LED in the computer case is blinking red. Sometimes it doesn`t light up at all. It used to glow blue all the time. I will mention that the case has two USB ports on the front that are damaged and the power supply cable was once broken

Not with a computer, but with a diode. :D

Is this about what I provided in the attachment? And there is no problem with the computer related to this diode, I`m just surprised that it was blue all the time before.

Are you talking about these diodes on the front of the panel?
One from the disk, the other from the power supply... you probably changed the cables...
Take a photo of these "diodes"

This is about the diodes on the front of the panel. The cables are connected according to the motherboard instructions. Computer Case LED Switches from Blue to Blinking Red with Damaged USB Ports1456686098...835375.jpg Download (3.49 MB)
And this LED is blinking all the time, only when I do something more demanding with it, it only lights up

Is the LED on the POWER button blinking?
You have the wrong cables and that`s it.
Did you or someone else mess with your computer or did it just happen?

Yes, this is the diode from the power button. It just happened

Maybe the blue diode or its power supply is damaged.
The red diode most often signals the operation of the hard drive, which is why it blinks - and perhaps it simply lights up on the power button?
Either way, you won`t be able to do anything without stripping.

But when the computer goes to sleep and then I use it again, the LED is blue. I have a question: could it have something to do with the power supply?

Is it possible that the diode is blinking because of the disk? Because the red diode is supposed to be from the disk. I checked the disk with HD Tune and it showed that 3/4 were bad sectors

The LED shows disk activity. So most often it blinks (or lights up) if the disk is being read/written. If the disk has 3/4 of its surface damaged, there is no point in continuing to use it.

    Ok, thanks for your help

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a computer case LED that has changed from a constant blue glow to a blinking red light, with intermittent failures to light up. The user notes that the case has damaged USB ports and a previously broken power supply cable. Responses suggest that the blinking red LED may indicate hard drive activity, especially since the user reported bad sectors on the disk. It is also mentioned that the LED behavior could be linked to the power supply or incorrect cable connections. The user confirms that the LED returns to blue when the computer wakes from sleep, indicating potential issues with the power supply or the hard drive itself.
