    Hello everyone.

I've started to think about installing building automation elements at my house, successively lighting, temperature control and later gate or roller shutter control. I searched the internet for various solutions and came across the ESEA brand, from the quote I got it seems attractive. As I found out from the representatives of this company, the system is based on components usually used in industry so it should be a solid solution in principle. The measuring equipment is manufactured in Poland and it is ESEA, while for control they use Fatek PLCs and Weintek HMI (?) panels. This can be controlled via mobile devices in addition. I am not very much in the subject and there are so few opinions on the internet that I would like to ask you if anyone has had contact with these companies Fatek, Esea, Weintek or has something like this at home and uses it to control lighting etc. as I wrote earlier. How does it perform and are there any problems with breakdowns or installation (I will probably take a professional anyway) but can I cope with some minor repairs.
    Best regards!

I checked out this site and read about their products. Cool but I would go for VAGO based solutions in my house. PLC-based building automation is probably the most expensive. It does give indefinite possibilities but on an indefinite budget. It's a great solution when you are a programmer and can program the controllers yourself. And so for every change/extension you call a company..... If you don't have such skills then it's better to buy a "fibre-like" system.
    What is a minor repair?
In automation systems a minor repair is replacing a faulty switch in the wall.... For any other you need a comp and a program that runs in the controller....

@ditomek I have read about these FATEK controllers and it is supposedly not difficult to program, especially as the distributor provides free training, which I am happy to attend. Besides, I will have it pre-programmed by a professional, later if I want to change something, I will at most play and learn on my own. Budget is rather not limited :) But you know - within reason :)

Why all this discussion if there is money?
Will the company make the sources available so that you can make modifications yourself after the guarantee period?
Why this particular system? What do you like about it?

@ditomek I did not ask the company if they would make available. I am persuaded by the fact that the components are usually used in industry therefore they should be robust. Fateka PLC because of the simplicity of this system - I don't know any other programming language - and ladder programming seems simple. In addition, the software for both the PLC and the panel is free. And training in my city. Also, I'm asking for opinions because I like to know what I'm buying, and it seems to me that there are specialists in such matters here.

We have been putting FATEK in machines for almost 10 years - there is no unreliability problem with them. Yes: sometimes the output will burn out because it has been overloaded on a short circuit - but this is usually human error. Free programming - a big plus. Backward compatible software versions.
Pretty decent prices compared to the competition.
As for the program: if the installation company writes and implements the program then you must receive the "batch"/program to the PLC with comments - to be able to restore the system or make the necessary changes if necessary.
After all, such home automation is an investment for several decades.

And this is exactly the answer I was expecting. You have cleared up all my doubts. Thanks!
