How do I connect another temperature sensor to the VS5500 controller?
I am referring here to the internal temperature sensor on the first floor.
Will any of these sensors be master ?

My general idea is that if the temperature drops (e.g. below 21), either on the ground floor or on the ground floor, the MCR 24 II should be switched on.

It does not appear from the instructions that this is possible. Generally in De Dietrich this works on the principle: one controller = one room temperature sensor = one controlled circuit. I have a DeDietrich with diematic 3 and I get around this differently. I select a reference room in which the controller is placed. The room stands out as the lowest temperature of all in the whole house, usually the one in which I spend the least time. In the other rooms, I regulate the temperature with radiator thermostats - preferably electronic ones because they react better and you can set the temperature more precisely than with conventional ones.

How about plugging the temperature sensor (thermostat) in parallel as in the thread: https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic1175536.html

    1. Parallel connection of two controllers.
Description of operation: the heating will be switched on if the temperature in one of the controlled rooms falls below the set temperature. The heating will be switched off if the temperature in both rooms rises above the set temperature.

    2. Series connection of two controllers.
Description of operation: The heating will be switched on if the temperature in both controlled rooms falls below the set temperature. The heating will be switched off if the temperature in one of the controlled rooms rises above the set temperature.

Then the heating will switch on in case no. 1. on the first floor as the temperature drops.

    Has anyone tried this?

    Additional sensor/thermostat.

The problem is that the connection in De Dietrich is not a simple relay control but an OpenTherm or Diematic BUS, depending on the console version, and with such a control you can at most make a break in the bus. Such a thing is described in the VS5500 documentation as a manual operation mode in which the boiler operation is continuous according to the temperature on the boiler and not on the controller (which is switched off at that time). That is, if below the set temperature on the ground floor you disconnect the original controller the furnace will change its operating rules. This has the right to work.
