Hi. As I live with a number of household members mains water is taken in quite large quantities. It is also known that clean water is not necessary in the cistern, so it would be a good idea to recover it from the bathtub. The pipe connection itself is not a major problem, but pumping water from the barrel to the toilet is. The central heating pump could be used for this, but how to control it so that it switches on when the cistern is empty and off when it is full? In addition, a safety feature would be useful if the cistern is empty so that the pump does not run dry. Are there any ready-made controllers? Controller for water recovery.

In my opinion, you will find the pump and hydrostat in a defective washing machine. The controller will either manage to do on relays, or you have to make something up. You may need two hydrostats for the project....

And then you won't flush the toilet :?:

I would also feed clean water from the pipeline into the tank and if there is no water from the bath the pipeline will fill to the minimum level and cut off the supply on the same principle as in the cistern i.e. with a float ;)

Maybe a patent like this for the control: a hydrostat for the barrel (although if there is piped water the hydrostat will be redundant) and after the pump a return valve and pressure switch connected in series with the optional hydrostat.
