I have been observing the aforementioned technology for some time and recently came across a Z-Wave control panel at a very bargain price.
I paired it with an IP camera and a Fibaro multimodule without any problems.
And the right question:
The prices of off-the-shelf Z-Wave devices discourage me a bit, so rummaging around on Aliexpress I came across a Chinese company called Xenon which, in addition to producing a wide range of wireless home automation devices (unfortunately at completely non-Chinese prices), produces Z-Wave modules based on Sigma's ZM5202AE-CME3R boards and, according to the descriptions in the auctions (and listings on Alibaba), these modules are preprogrammed and, depending on the version, appear as specific devices:
Z2-P1: intelligent socket, power switch
Z2-P2: intelligent socket, power switch, power meter
Z2-S1: Door/window Sensor
Z2-S3: remote control to select the scene
Z2-C1: electric curtain motor control
Z2-R1: IR control repeater
There are also Xenon-M2 mini-modules on offer which do not have any UART pins or data lines (they have - according to the description on the board - only PWM and SW outputs - ???) - does this mean that they are ready to use strictly oriented cubes?
Unfortunately, apart from commercials, cliches, a rudimentary description on auctions and a heavily truncated datasheet of an older version of the Sigma module, I couldn't find any deeper specifics (either I searched poorly or it's "secret knowledge").
Does anyone have a concrete description of these modules, application layouts and some datasheet ?
The aforementioned modules still need to be completed using the SDK or are they already ready to go?
The prices are strongly favourable (20$ per board).
PS to the moderator - perhaps the post should be in the electronics or general automation section - however, it seemed to me that the topic is closest to intelligent houses. If anything - please move the topic to a more appropriate section.
