    Hello!
As part of the modernization of the home network, I want to replace the router with one with at least 2 x WAN support.
Currently I use the Orange Internet (Neostrada), unfortunately it is the end of the cable more than 3 km from the headquarters and the transfers are not "top flight", I plan to expand with an additional connection, eg LTE PLAY.
AP is currently working in the network, so there is no need for the router to have its own WiFi (it will be installed in the closet in the basement, so it will be turned off anyway).
There are currently 6 devices in the network by cable (2 computers, TV, projector, printer, NAS), 4-6 for WiFi (2 computers, TV, smartphone), AP, the wiring works on Gigabit Ethernet.

    My requirements are (ideal version):
    - built-in ADSL2 modem (Orange to Neostrada link), 1WAN
    - 3G / 4G, LTE, 2 WAN modems support,
    - bandwidth balancing between WAN (Load Balancing),
    - Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports (1 ;-) )
    - best mounted in a RACK cabinet.

After searching, I found the device:
    DrayTek Vigor 2860
Is this a good choice? Anyone know these devices? How's the setup? How about modem support?

    The perfect me version:
    - 2 or 3 xWAN, preferably Gigabit Ethernet,
    - bandwidth balancing between WAN (Load Balancing),
    - LAN Gigabit Ethernet ports,
    - some 3G / 4G LTE modem router to connect to 1 WAN, necessarily with the possibility of connecting an external antenna,
    - I will use the current ADSL modem (router) as 2 WAN,

And most importantly, the budget is up to PLN 1000-1500.

    Thank you for your help

Any mikrotik can fulfill the less perfect version. 450G, 850G, 493G, or some HEX
    Routerboard.com
They are available with cheap metal racks for ~ 100PLN

There are no WAS, LAN ports. Only 5 or 9 ports that you do what you want.
If it has a USB port, you can plug in a modem.
Configuration a bit complicated, so it depends on your skills. Such Load Balancing is a bit of a combination, it won't be a simple function to enable.

    Thanks for the answer.
However, I prefer something with a simpler configuration ;-) I'm afraid I will fall on the mikrotik.

Alternatively, a less perfect version +:
    - USB port with modem support as 1 WAN,
    - second WAN,
    - simple configuration (relatively simple).

I found something like this: Vigor 2925, only I've never had contact with this company. On emulators the configuration looks simple (http://b1s.eu/pl/routers/946-draytek-emulators.html)

I have never had Vigor in my hands. But it's a rather respectable company, if you like the functionality and price, take it. You have short requirements, so you won't find many of these devices.

    Draytek Vigor is good equipment.
Just check if it supports the given LTE modem to USB, if you already have one.

    Hi,
I am facing a similar problem. What equipment have you chosen and how does it work? I care about reliability with a large number of connected devices (hotel network).

    Hello!
I chose the Vigor 2925, but for the future I would choose the version without a built-in ADSL modem.
The advantage for me is that by default it passes traffic to the LTE modem configuration page (you can enter the modem page even though it is plugged into the WAN port) and that by default it creates a separate subnet on each LAN, just connect a switch or accespoint.
With Load balancing on, it divides transmissions between WAN interfaces (I have 2 but can handle 4) and even when the LTE transfer ends or the operator goes crazy, it is an internet connection.

It met my requirements, but additionally I have a gigantic switch and an accesspoint from netgear, it can handle 4 computers (2 laptops, two via cable), a NAS (FullHD video streaming over the network), 2 TVs and several phones.
    best regards

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around seeking router recommendations that support dual WAN connections, including ADSL and LTE modem capabilities, with a focus on Gigabit Ethernet ports. The user currently utilizes Orange Internet (Neostrada) but experiences suboptimal speeds due to distance from the service point. Suggested options include MikroTik routers (450G, 850G, 493G, HEX) for their flexibility, though they require complex configurations. Alternatively, the DrayTek Vigor 2925 is recommended for its simpler setup and functionality, including load balancing between WAN connections. Users confirm the reliability of the Vigor 2925, noting its ability to manage multiple devices effectively and its support for USB modem connections.
