    I have a Seat Ibiza 1.9 SDI year 2001.
Since winter started and freezing temperatures I have a problem with the front door. The remote control works normally. It's only -1 degrees and by pulling the door handle I can't open the door. I get in through the back door, start the car and only when it warms up can I open the front door. I have greased seals and this is not a problem. I wipe all the water that accumulates at the seals and on the doors in these places, but it is enough that at night there is a negative temperature and the same problem the next day - the door freezes.
In the end I bought a car cover. After removing the cover, I open the front door normally, without any trouble. The problem starts when I want to close them - I can't! This bolt, which is responsible for opening and closing the door, falls down and does not allow to close it. (Photo 1.). I can only press a flat screwdriver on such a notch (?) And slightly raise this bolt (fig. 2), but it is still not enough to close the door. I would add that the castle was troubled by a defroster, reax. I even went to a mechanic who pulled down the lock, cleaned the dust, all the shit that had accumulated there. I think it's okay with the cable, otherwise the mechanic would have to say that the bolt works through the cable?
The problem persists. Is there any way to solve this?

Undress the zipper, dry and grease

Lubricate the seals with silicone oil

Are you 100% sure of this?

I'm sure. There was a difference between the covered and cleaned and greased lock.
After this visit, I was with him again with this problem and he said that nothing more could be done here. He said that you can't buy new locks either, because this is not an exchangeable part.

This type has it. Factory sell, because once that they regretted any grease in the locks, they are not even protected from getting moisture.

I agree with the previous speakers. I also have a seat in the family and sometimes get out of the window. Take apart the locks, wash e.g. nitro and apply thick grease.
