    Hello.

I have recently owned Touran 1.6 Tdi 105km 2011. Today, after firing in the frost -17, the glow plug indicator blinked. The car has lost its power, it is only accelerating up to 2 thousand revolutions. After re-launching the car the same. After connecting the computer, one error still pops up which after being deleted returns. What can be the cause and how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help.

I just noticed it. And after the code itself (10117) it is impossible to diagnose the error?

I found something like: 10117 - Fuel Pressure Regulation Valve 2 Control Difference
    P229B 00 [167] - Pressure too High

You must add fuel to low temperatures. The regulator can not handle the summer fuel.

    I think success !!

I replaced filters and oil in the car, when I changed the fuel filter, I noticed that the filter is very dirty. In addition, I learned at Orlen station in my town that this fuel is up to -10. I still had half of that fuel tank and I added a second half of 25l Arctica. I deleted the error and no controls are flashing and the car flies like new. I hope it will stay so and nothing will happen anymore.

I was not calm yet because I did not want to swear, I'll wait a few days and see if the problem comes back, thank you

For me there are no corrections, I issue a diagnosis remotely.

This morning after firing, the candlelight turned back on again, after extinguishing and re-igniting it disappeared and the car was running fine.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Volkswagen Touran 1.6 TDi experiencing issues after starting in extremely low temperatures (-17°C). The glow plug indicator blinks, and the vehicle loses power, only accelerating up to 2000 RPM. Diagnostic trouble codes indicate a fuel pressure regulation issue (code 10117) and high pressure (P229B). Suggestions include using winter-grade fuel, checking and replacing the fuel filter, and cleaning the fuel pressure regulation valve. After replacing the fuel filter and adding winter fuel, the user reports improved performance, although the glow plug indicator reappeared briefly. Further checks on the fuel system are recommended to ensure no contamination persists.
