Hello, I have a problem with connecting the transmitter in the car. I will start from the beginning in a car cut off the ignition I have a cable on which after ignition I have 12v after disconnecting it does not fire myself, I would like to use the relay attached in the picture below to press the contactor after ignition so that the relay lets current and start the car such a small protection against thieves. Please help me describe how to connect the relay and my contactor. I don't have much to do with electronics, please help. [/ B]

At the beginning do not write "contactor" but a switch, on the relay you have the descriptions of the pins:

85 and 86 - powering the relay coil
    30 - permanent contact
    87 - normally closed contact
    87a - normally open contact

that is, you connect what you want to "cut off" to 30 and 87a
you supply the relay with a switch on 85 and 86

The ignition must not be stopped. Cut off power to the starter.

Thank you for the answer, but I am sure. So after connecting what you described to me, it will work out: after turning the ignition switch off I will have to press the switch and then I will start the car? because that's my goal. best regards

Cutting off the starter power supply is indeed an effective way of protection, however, the thief will immediately know about the presence of protection when trying to start the engine, what you think about cutting off the fuel pump supply, then the thief will start, and after a while it will go out because he will run out of fuel in the lines, such an event will draw the attention of more people :)

Yes, if the power supply to the switch goes after the ignition switch, if you supply power permanently, regardless of the ignition switch, only the switch is enough.

Romum, but I plan to make a switch as a micro contact that I press after ignition and he will turn on the relay. I am not a professional and I do not know if I use good phrases

That's exactly what I mean and after pressing it switches on the relay and the car lights

For safety reasons, every hidden button should work in such a way that after the engine stops unexpectedly, e.g. on tram, railway or intersection tracks, the engine can be started immediately without pressing any additional buttons within a certain period of time, e.g. 30 seconds from stopping engine.
Here is a security that meets this condition:

This is very important, because in a stressful situation you can get lost, you do not know what to do first, press or "turn" the key, or both.

Well, this relay will not work

It will be like it will support the relay coil by the separating diode and will cut off the plus not dying when turning the starter.

And what did I write above?

Well, this relay will not work, you must have a relay with support

Let the author connect him and write you if it works for him, the topic is closed to me.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a relay to a car's ignition system to create a theft prevention mechanism. The user seeks guidance on wiring a relay to cut off the starter power supply after the ignition is turned off. Responses clarify the relay pin configuration: pins 85 and 86 for the relay coil, pin 30 for permanent contact, and pin 87a for normally open contact. Suggestions include cutting off the fuel pump supply instead of the starter to enhance security. The user expresses a desire to use a micro switch to activate the relay after ignition. Concerns are raised about the relay's suitability and the importance of ensuring that the engine can be restarted without additional button presses in emergencies.
