Hello everyone, I have a serious problem, the car will not start for China, the starter is spinning, the battery is ok, I have been driving the car for 5 years, it was always a problem like winter, but somehow it was until now - it knocked down 23 degrees and it's over, now it is -7 And it turns but it does not catch, the fuel is also not frozen, there were no errors on the computer as it was still smoking, one injection dosed more - now I took it out and that I had the original tip ready, I put it on, before it lit it, I charged the battery 3 times, it walked unevenly and went out on idle, it had to be kept on gas, I took out this injection and put on the old tip and the end will not come back until now, I unscrewed the injectors, turned to the distributor, connected only two current wires because the rest did not get, I turn the starter and the fuel comes out through overflows but no atomization - the injection tips are dry, you can twirl and twist, the current on the meter on the 5.3V injection plugs, why not sprays? any ideas what to check?

There are injectors. The pump spilled filings. Check if you have filings on the bus.

On the bus or where? in the fuel lines from the pump and in this distributor?

In rail. Check the fuel filter, there should be filings visible there if the pump is damaged. How did you change the tip yourself? Did you test injection dosage after tip change?

The most difficult system to repair. Return it to a specialist before you merge the car's value several times over.

Maybe not so much difficult as expensive to repair. How the pump spilled 10 thousand you have to get ready. You check the filings straight. But first you need to have 2 highly specialized instruments. Jar and magnet. ;)

First generation engine, I haven't done an overflow test lately, but all the valves would go? As for the costs, a colleague above, probably from space, the price for the pump, no one will put a new original pump into the old car, tomorrow I go with injections to "professionals", we check the injection is 25 zeta also not money. I'll let you know what happened.

If someone reliably checks the injection from tdci for 25 zeta for me, I will ask you to contact me. He won't do it for years. Normally, repairing a pump is below 2500, no one will do well

the very name 1.8 tdci adds nothing to the topic
Tdci means that the engine is equipped with common rail injection system.

ie TDDI distributor pump. And at the beginning you write

current on the meter on 5.3 V injection plugs
So at the beginning, please give the year or a photo of the engine because this is just how you mislead colleagues. (Current is given in Amperes :!: )

@ Transit 2 you distinguish TDDi from TDCi.
@ MAREKWOŁOWIEC and you know what you have because now I don't know TDDi or TDCi.
I see that my friend explained it above.

No, people, as he writes that TDCI is not tddi because what some ask and it is clearly written in the subject and stupid itself, checking the injection, not repairing the injection cost 25 zeta per item, location MIELEC Podkarpackie, such prices around us, I can give you a telephone . Until tomorrow because more confusion than helpful suggestions.

Year 2002, I do not have a strip, but a divider, what pressure I do not know, because I have nothing to measure, the car was going to frost, it did not lack power, the fact that I made transfers for him a long time ago and all were normal, only the computer came out with one injection pouring the other it starts and two are good and so I survived until Thursday frost. If not the frosts so above -10, I would definitely go on.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI that fails to start despite the starter spinning, a functional battery, and non-frozen fuel. The user has experienced similar issues in winter but now faces a more severe problem. Responses suggest checking for filings in the fuel system, particularly in the fuel rail and filter, as a damaged pump may be the cause. The conversation highlights the complexity and potential costs of repairing the injection system, with recommendations to seek professional help for injector testing and possible regeneration. The first-generation TDCI system is identified, with emphasis on the importance of checking overflow valves in the injectors and the need for specialized tools for accurate diagnosis.
