    Hello,
Namely, I have a question, I have a premises (company) with a three-phase meter because I do not use 3 phases, I would like to change to a single-phase and therefore a lower fee for a three-phase meter (Tauron companies). And I have a question, can the meter stay the same? Do you need to change the security? Anyone been through this?

    What is indoor installation?
I suspect, since there was / is a three-phase power supply, individual sockets and light points can be assigned to individual phases and it is necessary to modify this installation.

It is an old installation (melting fuses), and it so happens that the lighting points and sockets are under one protection and one 3-phase socket

PLN 140 for three phases, half less for one phase plus energy consumption

A return to a three-phase system will be much more expensive. New connection conditions, adaptation of the installation, installation with a limiter, etc. From my point of view, it will not pay off. The counter will definitely be changed to single-phase. The security features as assigned will need to be adjusted. Remember on one phase you only have a maximum of 4 kW and that's not much. Report in writing to Tauron (you can download the form from the website) if you need to change the connection conditions and after the problem. You will get new conditions to adjust the installation and it will be more expensive than today :)

I do not know where such data came from?
I have a contract with ENERGY and I pay about PLN 100 per month for the supply and consumption of energy
Three-phase installation, plus flow heater and electric cooker.
Where did the PLN 140 come from?

The author has a counter for the company, so maybe some unfavorable tariff. Maybe it is worth reviewing the currently available tariffs and changing them?

Each tariff for companies includes a fixed fee depending on the contracted capacity and the number of phases.

What receivers do you use in this place? Powers, time of use, simultaneity.
What is the legal status of the premises? Own or rented?

It's a power fee in tariff C. You won't win much, and how?

What are you operating in the premises?

I also think that he will not win much. But I know office cases where it has been beneficial.
Before the change, an analysis based on the data asked by Zbich70 should be carried out.

Moreover, in Poland there is a general tendency to force consumers to use a three-phase power supply, where no one has ever seen a three-phase receiver. There have already been many heated discussions about this.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the feasibility of changing a three-phase meter to a single-phase meter for a company premises. The user seeks to reduce costs associated with the three-phase meter provided by Tauron, as they do not utilize three phases. Responses indicate that the existing installation may require modifications, particularly if it involves melting fuses and shared protection for lighting and sockets. The cost difference between three-phase and single-phase service is noted, with estimates suggesting a reduction from PLN 140 to approximately half that amount. However, concerns are raised about the limitations of a single-phase supply, which typically allows a maximum of 4 kW, and the potential need for future three-phase power. Participants recommend conducting a thorough analysis of current energy tariffs and usage before making a decision, as switching may not yield significant savings and could complicate future power needs.
