Hi all I have assembled based on a DHT11 module and a Wemos D1 mini wireless humidity and temperature sensor which will report to domoticz the measurement results. I have read that the DHT11 is only weatherproof by definition and cannot be exposed to the weather. Have any of you developed any suitable housing for such a sensor module ? I mean that if I enclose it in an airtight box, the measurement result will be unreliable (and certainly the humidity result. I would like to mount the sensor and its electronics in a hermetically sealed box on a terrace on the wall of the building. I would be happy to hear your ideas. Below is a picture of the module that needs to be protected. DHT11Casing idea ? - I am looking for a housing idea for a DHT11 sensor.

Read about the Stevenson cage - it's a must for outdoor measurements. I have a DHT22 in such an enclosure and from the protection side it is ok. The other thing is that the DHT measures humidity poorly above a certain level, which is why I have been using modules based on BME280 or Si7021 for some time.
