    Hello.

    I have a battery: Bosch 004 - 60Ah. Auto Diesel Ctdi.

I am looking for a rectifier up to PLN 200, unless there is something decent and for years it is PLN 300.

    I found:
    - yato 8300
    - yato 8301
    - Ctek MXS 5.0

Which one will you recommend to me. In the future, I will probably buy a larger diesel 2.0 - 2.7 l engine (battery about 72Ah), so I want to buy a rectifier for years, which I:
    - will not overcharge the battery
    - polarity reversal will not burn the rectifier
    - will charge and show the charge level
    - possibly a faster recharge function (I don't know if it makes sense and if it damages the battery, so if it doesn't damage it also with this function)

I am an ordinary person, the car is not garaged.
Probably the charger will be used 2 - 3 times a year.
But I know that when you buy junk, you can shorten the life of the battery.

I am asking for help and to recommend something good. Well, unless it makes no sense ...

    Best regards.

From experience, I recommend Ctek rectifiers. I am only puzzled by the fact that "the charger will be used 2 - 3 times a year". I understand that you often leave your car unused for a long time? If so, then it is worth removing the battery and buying a charger with a voltage backup function. Otherwise, it is time to replace the battery or check if its parameters are properly matched to the car (if it is too big and you drive short distances, the alternator may not be able to fully charge it), whether the alternator is charging properly (what is the voltage after starting engine) and what is the current consumption a few minutes after turning off and locking the car (maybe some device is discharging the battery).

    Yes.
The car is stationary quite often. Well, let's say the frequency of driving is: 2-3 a week, about 20 km (shopping, doctor, etc.).
Once in 3 months I travel 600 km on the route: Krakow - Jarosław and back.

The battery is 2.5 years old and has only been charged once => it has recently died from these frosts.

I do an average of 5,000 km a year.

    Best regards.
