Hello everyone, at the outset I would like to point out that my knowledge in the subject of electronics is small, so please be understanding.

I am going to build a sheet metal spot welder using 2 microwave transformers, rather simple without welding time control, my question is how to control the intensity on the target electrodes? If you cannot do without some control boards, could someone make such a PCB for me?

Buddy, if you do not have knowledge in the field of electronics, do not take on such things. To build the welding machine, you need a transformer in which the secondary winding, at low voltage, can "give up" high short-circuit current. Conversely, a microwave has a very high output voltage of about 2,000 V and a small current. Generally, I advise against this idea if my colleague has a nice life. Below is a link to a self-made welding machine, just look for and read:

When it comes to transformers, of course, you have to throw out the secondary windings and re-wind them, get 2-3 turns and connect the transformer in series with the secondary winding, I mean that I want to have some current regulation on the electrodes

I am sticking to the topic, I have a welding machine purchased, but there is no good programmer, i.e. the LCD display on which you can set the welding time from 1 ms to 100 something. . he did right. Will I buy such a display ready for alliexp ...? and it's easy to swap. do i have to program it?
