    Hello.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone and a TV that is already years old and is not Smart, so the wireless connection is gone. My tv is Sharp LC-42DH77E. Is there any possibility that I can send content from the phone to the TV screen (it's mainly about photos, movies). I will add that I tried using the MHL adapter. I connect the adapter via an HDMI cable, the HDMI word on the screen replaces the MHL text, but the screen remains black and a message is displayed that the signal is incompatible. On the phone while the circle is HDMI connected / HDMIdisconected. On another Samsung TV everything works fine. Hence, I suspect that my TV does not support it, because I do not know what else I could change in the settings. What other options do I have, of course, apart from buying a new TV so that I can watch photos and videos from the phone's memory (not necessarily through mirroring)?

    Thanks for the hint.
This solution would allow me to resign from buying another "box", which I would not have anywhere else. Are there any WiFi problems in these devices (eg they lose their signal)? Is it possible to control them using a telephone (or only some copies allow it) and is there no conflict if in the dongle, say, is an android 4.x on a 6.x phone? When it comes to playing dongle or microSD cards, or maybe from the phone, can the device reproduce different formats? Could you recommend me maybe 2-3 devices present on the market that would work well?

A lot of questions - no one will answer you (everything depends on the specific model, company, settings of your network, etc.) - there is no golden answer.

What devices - every one that is within your financial capacity (the more expensive, the better it is made, the better the support, etc.).

Look for KODI hardware on board, or give you the option of installing it.

Ok. And assuming that I buy this type of equipment, releasing a movie (whether it is from internal memory dongle, sd card or some internet service), will I be able to let the sound on the speakers connecting the amplifier to the TV using cinch cables?

It all depends on the device model

What to pay attention to when buying? What should this device have in order to make what I described above possible?

But it is not THIS device that depends - only from the amplifier (which has the INPUT ports) and from the TV itself (which has EXIT ports) audio.
If the amplifier has only analog inputs, then the TV should have such outputs (chinch, headphone output).
If the amplifier has some digital audio input ports (SPDiF, coaxial), then the TV should have such ports on the output.

The amplifier is 20 kg, more than 20 years old Pioneer A-757 Mark II. The inputs have an analog course of course. But TV, which I have other than that also has such a way out. So I could cinch-cinch connect. Only, could I then mute the sound from the television speakers? Would the audio fly in parallel with TV speakers and audio equipment? If so, would not there be any shift of sound?

It seems to me that there should be no problem - after all, it is not the headphone port, which cuts off the speakers on the TV after connecting the cable.

There is no audio shift in the analogue.

All you need to do is check if the TV sends a sound on this output when the source is the HDMI input.

A lot of these unknowns. I do not know if it has a connection, but from the TV decoder the audio-video signal goes through the HDMI cable to the TV, and the decoder is connected analog to the amplifier and the sound goes correctly. Maybe the dongle will be ok. I guess I have nothing else but to decide on this and test it. Thanks for all the help.

Try to switch cinch cables from the decoder, which goes analog signal to the amplifier to the TV output and you will see if the TV sends a signal there when you choose HDMI or the decoder as the source.

I bought a Chromecast. Everything works the way I wanted, and even better. The sound goes to the speakers. TV has an audio output that I connected to the amplifier. I control the phone. I can transfer the image from my smartphone to the tv screen. As a result, I have access to content from the tel and the entire internet. I did not notice any lagging when displaying movies (everything is done via wi-fi). Thanks for the tips. They were helpful.
