Hello. I bought a camera like the one in the description, it is a small camera to use in the office. I want a full online preview of it over WiFi. Due to the fact that I cannot access landline internet, I want to try it with mobile internet. I have internet in the play network, I have LTE coverage all the time: download: 8.64 upload: 8.04. I would like to buy pre-paid internet and share a hotspot with it only here the question arises, what kind of internet package will I need? The camera is in 720p resolution, it will work 8h a day, 5 days a week. What do you think, would the 20gb package be enough for such an operation, and whether mobile internet would even pull such a "stream" from the camera. Regards

Ask yourself first, will you have a way out?
Start from this. So ask the operator if you will have an external IP. No matter whether fixed or dynamic.

I tried on my phone from the play network, so everything is fine. The only question is how much does such a mobile internet need? Is it enough to say 10gb or unlimited (in fact limited to 100gb)?

No. Have you tried watching on the phone and the camera was connected to the immobile internet? And this is about the situation when the camera is on a mobile. This is different. You can watch on everyone. You can send only three ways: External IP, or via the cloud, or via VPN.

No. I did not try to watch on the phone, only from the phone I shared the "hotspot", then connected through the client device to this hotspot and everything went awry. (internet from LTE phone in play) I only need information how much such streaming can eat up the internet packet.

    Not necessarily.

The Overmax Camspot 3.1 camera is normally operated using the application available on the Overmax website - if I remember correctly, there are versions for Android and iPhone. It can of course be operated via a web interface and then you really need access from outside (fixed IP / DDNS plus port forwarding).

However, the manufacturer's application works differently - after configuring (creating an account and defining the password) access is from anywhere the smartphone / tablet with the application has access to the Internet. There is only one condition - the camera must have access to an external network - if it is blocked on a firewall, it will be displayed as offline. I have not yet analyzed TCP / IP traffic, but I suspect that the camera connects to some server, which must also have access to the smartphone / tablet application.

The program for these cameras has disappeared from the App Store, does anyone know what can be effectively replaced?
