    Hello,

I have a VW Sharan from 2002 and a key operated central lock.
I would like to control him from the remote control. I bought a universal controller with two remote controls and a small problem arose when connecting this crap because either I'm too stupid or something is wrong here.
I connected it first to the workshop power supply to see if it works at all.
According to the diagram, power is under red and ground under black.
Now I don't quite understand the list on the right.
According to what is included there, these are three types of controls:
    - minus control
    - plus control
    - plus and minus control
For me, Sharan has a plus control, so I am concerned with the middle scheme.
    According to my reasoning:
    - the orange cable is free
    - white is the closing impulse
    - yellow connected +12
    - orange / black free
    - white / black is the opening impulse
    - yellow / black mass or +12

Now if I connect it in this configuration, I have a non-stop voltage of 12V on White / Black, whether I open or close, and I have nothing on white, no matter if I open or close.
Could someone help me connect it as it should be?

best regards Connecting Universal Remote Controller to 2002 VW Sharan Central Locking System

What do you have attached to yellow and black.

If you really have yellow and yellow-black connected to + 12V, then on white and white-black you should have short pulses of + 12V corresponding to opening and closing. If it is not, your driver is out of order or the schematic you have is not from that driver.
Of course, the test tube control is used to check the operation, not any meter.

Yellow-black + 12V only. There is an obvious error in the figure with this possible mass (-12V).

    Hello,
However, it turned out that the driver was damaged.
The seller replaced it with a new one and it works when connected.
However, another problem arose: Sometimes, after closing the lock, he opens it himself again.
What could be the reason ?
    Damaged driver again?

    thanks for the answer.
hmmmm good but he opens it after some (hard for me to tell) time.
I just come in sometimes and the car is open.
I note that this does not happen, it always closes and stays that way.

90% (if not more) of the drivers are Chinese

Chinese drivers may be cheesy, but it is rare for them to send an opening impulse by themselves. Sooner, the problem will be in the worn actuator mechanism. For checking, it is enough to disconnect the cable responsible for manual opening of the central lock from the switch in the lock.
Often, cars after many years of using the lock with the key are converted into remote control. Manually works correctly because we move the key to a given position.
    That's my opinion.

I met the drivers who reacted to "every" pilot who appeared in the area.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a universal remote controller to a 2002 VW Sharan's central locking system. The user initially faced issues with the wiring configuration, specifically with the yellow and yellow-black wires connected to +12V. After determining that the driver was damaged and subsequently replaced, a new problem arose where the locks would occasionally open by themselves after being closed. Responses suggest that the issue may stem from a faulty actuator mechanism rather than the remote driver itself. Suggestions include checking the actuator and ensuring the wiring is correct, as well as considering the quality of the driver, which is often sourced from China.
