    Hello
Problem with VW Touareg 05r 5.0 TDI
The car drove normally until there was a problem with the above modules.
It is impossible to put into gear, only emergency, no communication with the gearbox, ABS, suspension (dropped) and 4x4 electronics.

Other drivers throw errors of those modules with which there is no communication gateway also dead lack of communication, I unplugged the drivers with which there is no communication, but it has no effect; /

The electronics under the driver's seat are fine, dry, only there was oil in the plug from the gearbox, but after cleaning nothing helps.

    Where to find the fault?

    best regards

It looks more like a dropped power supply than a problem with the communication line. Check, for example, the power supply to the ABS.

Hello again, Touareg is already on the road, communication is back, thank you Paweł and Jacek.
However, there is also a problem with the gearbox, practically no reverse, when you put R, the car barely rolls backwards when you add gas, nothing helps if there is a backlash, the same thing happens when the gearbox shifts to 3rd or 5th gear, as if they were not there .

The car came to me on its own after switching the red emergency button on the gear lever with a forced gear.

Have the shields from one of the baskets burnt?

    Hello, I renew the topic.
Has anyone had a similar problem in Turku and knows the solution ?? I have no ideas what to do with it.
It blocks my boxes, errors in ABS, suspension, 4x4 transmission and everywhere error description "too low resistance".
I checked the masses and more or less the electrical installation from the dashboard to the trunk and nothing can be seen
I would like to point out that all errors can be deleted and it is fine for a while, and after some time they all jump up at once.

    Did you check there?

Well, that's what I heard and I took the driver's side down to the trunk, but you can't see anything there and, importantly, it's dry, even this sponge is dry. Now I check the installations at the ABS drivers, the one in the pit, but nothing bad is visible.

Gentlemen, or someone will tell you what the other cables are or has a schematic? I have been fighting for a long time, I have a long water and I found this cable on the bundle, but you can see that someone has already cut it off. At the moment the cables are cut and I don't know what to do with what. They are not cut open, only oxidized (rotten).
Connect them all together, look under the insulation shown in the photo (black tape) there will probably be green too. Desire to clean and match colors.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a VW Touareg 5.0 TDI (2005) experiencing multiple electronic communication failures, specifically with the gearbox, ABS, suspension, and 4x4 systems. The vehicle was unable to shift gears normally, with symptoms including a lack of communication with critical modules and a malfunctioning gearbox. Users suggested checking the power supply to the ABS and inspecting wiring harnesses for damage, particularly in areas prone to moisture. The original poster later reported that communication was restored, but additional issues with the gearbox persisted, indicating potential damage to the gearbox or wiring. Several users shared similar experiences and sought solutions, highlighting the importance of checking electrical connections and harness integrity.
