Well, there is a situation like in the attachment that I have an empty program in the startup tab in msconfig. I scanned PC Norton and showed no problems (with the license so rather sure that there is nothing). But I still have suspicions about this file. By clicking "right mouse button" the "properties" option is selected in gray and "open file location", which means I can't check these things. Does anyone know how to remove this item from the autostart?

The entry is disabled, if you want to delete it, run regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Shared Tools \ MSConfig \ startupreg and there delete this empty entry.

    Check in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Wow6432Node \ Software \ Microsoft \ Shared Tools \ MsConfig

Win 10 startup - In the startup tab I have "Program" with the icon. I was looking for the address you provided and I do not have "Software" after Wow6432Node. I also searched through the "Find ..." function and nothing like it came out. Is it supposed to be this way or is something wrong here?

Maybe they changed something in W10.

Look for another entry, e.g. lusb3mon, and check if it finds the key from msconfig.

So in general, I can add: How do I turn on msconfig and click the "Run" tab, and there it says: "To manage startup items, use the Run section in the Task Manager." and below is the hyperlink that opens that manager. Only from here I can see programs launched when the computer starts. That is, if there is such a possibility that the startup items may be hidden somewhere in the regedit in the task manager?

It is not harmful, you cannot see this entry in the logs either.

    Look as I said earlier:

Well, I did what you said and some of the items are, but each in a different folder, e.g. OneDrive is somewhere in microsoft and uninstall, and Iusb3 is in intel-> uninstall, and more interestingly both the Steam Client Bootstrapper and the phrase "Program" does not find

Something with Windows is broken or is it normal in 10?

You can ignore this, it's just an empty entry. It is not even included in this.

It is a pity that it can not simply disappear, but what format I will not do

Try to clean the registry with CCleaner - it will clean up, maybe this program will disappear from startup.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user encountering an empty program entry in the Windows 10 startup tab within msconfig. The user is unable to access the properties or file location of this entry, raising concerns about its legitimacy despite a Norton scan showing no issues. Various solutions are proposed, including checking the registry at specific paths (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Shared Tools MSConfig and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Wow6432Node Software Microsoft Shared Tools MsConfig) to delete the entry. Users also suggest using the Task Manager for managing startup items and recommend cleaning the registry with CCleaner to potentially remove the entry. Some participants express skepticism about the program's safety, while others conclude that it is likely a harmless, empty entry that can be ignored.
