Hello, this is my first post, so please be understanding if I have not complied with all the rules in force in the forum. I would like to ask colleagues in the topic about ASPA 1js60 compressor. After the fire of the previous (Chinese) compressor, I decided to use the tank from the previous one to build a compressor with the engine from the ASPA 1js60 compressor on it. However, I cannot find any instructions for this compressor. I am interested in why on the front wall of the compressor there are two sight glasses (in the picture), what oil to use and in what quantity (I am not sure if compressor oil was a standard at the time of production of these compressors) and how much oil to fill and how, because I found the drain screw , but no pouring stopper :| . And one more thing, whether the direction of rotation in this compressor matters, because I know that some compressors have special "drivers" for lubricating the crank system. I will be very grateful for any comments :|

This compressor was mounted in 303E electric locomotive. I have instructions somewhere, I will find, write. You can pour in LDAA100 or automotive 20W40 or 15W40 mineral oil through the drain by turning it upside down or by screwing out the upper eye. The oil level is to be full bottom with a small bubble at the top. Any direction of rotation.
    Catalog data:
    Working factor - air
Max working pressure - 0.8 MPa
    Capacity at 0.8 MPa pressure - 4.5 m3 / h
Permissible rotational speed of the crankshaft - 1800 rpm.
    Cylinder diameter - 60
    Displacement - 102 cm3
    Lubrication method - splash
    Oil grade - Selektol Specjal 20W / 40
    Cooling method - air
Power demand at delivery pressure 0.8 MPa - 1.1 kW
    Compressor weight - 6.4 kg

    Hello.

I have an old Aspa 1JS60M compressor unit (single piston with two small cylinders) 6l capacity.
I don't see repair kits for it too. At first glance, it seems to me that parts from the 3jw60 compressor will fit, but are you sure? I mainly mean valves, piston, rings, cylinder and head gaskets.
Will someone convince me that parts from 3wj60 will match, or will lead me out of error?

I also came across a compressor that works, I installed a check valve next to the cylinder, a pressure switch and it beats 8 atm, even to an additionally connected 40l tank, but with the vent in the upper sight glass it blows oil ... I am curious if the valves and rings fit from 3jw60. Did you find something?

Głowiczka is definitely different, the rings will fit. I have one somewhere in my stocks, but I didn't even touch it, because it is efficient only for pumping balls.

Thanks for the info. According to sellers on Allegro, both rings and valves from 3jw60 fit. I have traveled both and ordered them, for me the rings are 3x2.5 and 1x3.5mm. It will come out ;) As for the compressor ... it all depends on your needs. In my home workshop I have a Stanley 10bar 2HP 30l with a vertical cylinder and for small needlework with an orbital sander or an air wrench it is enough. He unscrews the bolts 21 at the wheels, and experts have argued that it is not suitable ;) And Aspa is much quieter than Stanley and it's a plot design, so that the compressor is at hand if necessary :)

What is this additional aspy tank, because I have one like you, I will only drive it with a belt because I have to translate the speed into smaller ones and they originally clutched and the wheel was massacred by the previous owner.
A loose piston covered from the top with a hammer, probably from the C330 ... with a scraper at the bottom.

@ balcerowicz79 As I mentioned above, a 40l tank from my grandfather's garage (legend has it that it's from Star). I tried to make a clutch from thick rubber, but finally regenerated the original. Piston 60 mm and 4 rings as in the photo ASPA 1js60 Compressor: Oil Types, Quantities, Sight Glasses, Rotation Direction & Assembly

And the piston is from the aspa trio or c330. I think it will be 60.5mm

@ balcerowicz79 I bought rings online, where the description is:
PISTON RINGS 1 SET [for 1 cylinder]
    FOR 3JW60 (ASPA) COMPRESSOR MOTOR
    MANUFACTURER PRIMA ŁÓDŹ
    Dimensions:
    - piston diameter (mm): 60
    - thickness of the rings (mm): 2.5 / 2.5 / 2.5 / 3.5
And the valves also from 3JW60, but I do not recommend them, because it hits a maximum of 7 bar (as described in the auction, so you need to read carefully) and then the pressure gauge does not budge. I put on the old ones again and blows to the pressure switch sections, i.e. 8 bars :) After replacing the rings, it no longer blows oil through the breather hole in the sight glass.

Yes, I know it was a year ago, but
@gruber24, brag about how you embraced the connection of the check valve (photo from post #8).
Could you show/describe how you did it?
I also have an apsa 1jw60 and for fun I'm overhauling it.
    greetings

Mine is lying in wait for its time...unfortunately.
