    Hello.
I can't run the Passat B6 2.0TDI CBAB, it turns, but it doesn't start. In addition, I can not even connect to the CDP + tester, no communication with any driver. I checked the power supply to the CAN Gateway module, and I was surprised. Pin 1-ground, 2-battery power supply (12V,) pin 14-power supply from the ignition. There is constant power from the battery, but when the key is removed the voltage at 14 pins is present, and when you press the key the voltage disappears. Has anyone had a similar problem?
Thank you in advance and best regards

    And can CANy reach OBD?
I had a similar case and the car had anti-theft protection.

Wires from gateway to connector? are coming up, and could there be a problem on power line 15? because when the key is removed the power supply is on and the voltage disappears when the key is pressed. And can you say something more about this security?

And how do you connect, since cdp + needs power + on pin 16 and ground on 4.5.

Put the OBD plus socket on pin 1 and then diagnose.
At the time of diagnosis, it should be + 12V on pins 1 and 16 in OBD.

Hello. power to the connector comes in, the problem was the can module itself - it was damaged, after replacement I was able to connect to the engine and the program detected such errors: VW Passat B6 2.0TDI CBAB No Start Issue & Lost Communication with CDP+ Tester, CAN Gateway Module
Does anyone know where to look? The car still does not start.
    best regards

It's strange because the engine controller has K communication, the rest is CAN.
Does the fuel pump in the tank work?
From the description of the errors comes a problem in its control.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a VW Passat B6 2.0TDI CBAB that fails to start despite turning over. The user reports an inability to connect to the CDP+ tester, indicating a communication issue with the CAN Gateway module. Initial checks show proper power supply to the module, but an anomaly occurs where voltage at pin 14 disappears when the ignition key is pressed. Responses suggest potential issues with the anti-theft system, wiring from the gateway to the connector, and the need for proper power connections to the OBD socket. The user later identifies a damaged CAN module, which was replaced, but the vehicle still does not start. Further inquiries focus on the engine controller's communication type and the functionality of the fuel pump, indicating possible control issues.
