He warmly welcomes you. I have a question for you, someone met with such a "system" of reversing cameras where we have 2 cameras combined and one monitor, let's assume it is 7 "(such sets are available on the Allegro immediately"
e.g. the auction entitled "2X REVERSING CAMERA + MONITOR TIR KOMBAJN BUS TRAKTOR" on Allegro.

Connecting the set is easy, the images can be switched using the button on the monitor or the remote control.

The problem arises, however, when we want to attach the camera, for example, to the back of the machine and the other, no matter where. The system that I would like to get would rely on the fact that after switching on the reverse gear the image on the camera will automatically switch to the "rear" view, after switching off the reverse gear it will automatically shift the image from the second camera.

I wonder if we would use a relay that would give power only to the desired one camera, would the image from the machine also change on the monitor or just the monitor would perceive it as "no image"

    Please give me your opinion.
    regards Krzysztof

You connect both cameras permanently to the power supply (behind the ignition switch), and the Video signal from the first front camera is connected to the NC terminal of the relay (with the appropriate voltage for the relay coil in your car), the Video signal from the second camera is connected to the NO terminal of the relay, and from the terminal C of the relay, you continue to run the Video cable to the monitor to the inputs. 1. You connect all masses of cameras together. Power to the relay coil, you take from the power wire of the reverse lights.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm just wondering what relay are we talking about?
I will add that I want to install the system in a telescopic loader. Image on the telescope and image on the back of the machine

For your requirements, any relay with the power coil you have in the charger (12 or 24 Volts), as long as it has NC (normally closed, no coil power), and NO (normally open, no coil power) contacts, for example: type in alle ..o: POWER RELAY RELPOL RM85 12V DC 16A 1P.
In this way, you connect the Video signal to the 3.6 pin (only the so-called hot wire) from the front camera, to 5.8 you connect the Video signal from the rear camera and 4.7 to the Video signal output to the monitor. you connect the positive to pin 1 after reverse power supply and to the 2 - minus, i.e. ground.

Thank you for your help. Please just tell me what does "hot vein" mean?

Should one pin from the camera or two to both pin be connected to the relay?

The cable in the middle of the RCA cable where the signal goes, the outer braid is the ground.

There is one central wire with the signal (your camera image) in it, you connect the outer braids together from both cameras and the braid of the cable going to the monitor. 2x rear view camera 1x monitor the ability to automatically change the image

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a reversing camera system featuring two cameras and a single monitor, specifically a 7-inch model. The user seeks a solution for automatically switching the camera feed on the monitor when the vehicle is in reverse gear. Responses suggest using a relay to manage the video signals from the cameras, with the relay connected to the power supply of the reverse lights. The relay should have normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO) contacts to facilitate the switching. Technical details include connecting the video signals from the cameras to the relay and ensuring proper grounding. The term "hot wire" is clarified as the central wire carrying the video signal in an RCA cable.
