Satel Opal Outdoor Detector: User Experiences, Operation & False Alarms - Share Your Reviews

It's been some time since the launch of the new Satel Opal outdoor detector. I wanted to learn about your opinions and observations on the above-mentioned detector. I do not hide that the price is attractive, and how is it with the operation and possible fakes?

I have 3 pieces installed at my clients, including one in a wireless version. They have been hanging for over half a year and so far they have not called yet that something is happening despite the fact that they have a lot of cats in the area.

I have installed detectors in the PRO version (with IR anti-mask), according to other installers, the basic version and PLUS (with MW anti-mask) can be activated in heavy rain or snowfall. Unfortunately, anti-masking in the PRO version is an even bigger tragedy. At the first client's place the next morning, as soon as the sun came out, the good morning alarm, the anti-masking "went out", as the sun started operating on other walls.
In the second case, there are alarms in sequence, in the direction of the sun's movement towards the building's circle.

From Satel's help desk, I found out that this is how it should be. If I want the AM to work properly, I have to mount the detector inside or in the shade.
