Hello everyone, I have a problem with ducato 3.0 2013 on the counter of 320 thousand
namely, there was a problem with firing, then he fired and drove everything like ok
in about 20 km, he lost power as if in emergency mode, but he was still driving about 100 km, he went out while driving because he fired a few shots enough to leave the highway, then after some time, when we let him rest, he lit up and had power and everything was ok the next 500 km for the first 350 km did not go out even once, then it went out several times and to such a state that it does not start at all. after bringing the car to Poland, the computer showed P0748 high pressure pump output regulator or injection support and P0778 high pressure pump output.
I have already replaced the regulator on the pump, a new fuel filter and nothing fires and the errors show the same all the time, even if I unplug other cubes, it does not show other errors or has the Engine controller fallen? , today I noticed that the fuel pump relay only turns on when the ignition is on for a while and then not, I short-circuited it permanently so that it gives fuel and it does not start anything, I will add that it fires on the cake and runs as long as it gives it, installation over injectors checked, everything ok. I don't have an idea, maybe someone can help me?

There, the harness on the engine to the controller is the weak point of these cars.
Unwrap it and check it carefully, tear it.
Second place, behind the left lamp.

Hello, so I went on the cables, I disconnected from the controller and so rust and 2 pins rusted so that they stayed in the plug, now I took the controller for repair, they do not promise that it can be done, but there is a chance.

if the water has not entered the interior of the ECU, it must be possible.

Hello, again, the water did not get inside, Majsterek replaced the pins and the car started and it was going for about one day, I put together everything like the whole front, secured the computer so that no more water could get in and I started the car, it fired hard and walked only at 1500 rpm. and it did not respond to the gas pedal, I reset the system and ok it started responding to the pedal but it does not go to all cylinders now shows injection 2 and 3 and the variable valve timing sensor. I do not understand because it was ok, but before assembling, I took out the computer to pour something from the socket, I do not know if it was water or issol because I also sprayed it. Today I will disconnect, see if the pins are ok

Added after 12 [hours] 27 [minutes]:

I disconnected the Ecu I connected it back and the car burns for all cylinders only suffocates when it wants to gas and such strange knocks and on the vagu it shows the variable valve timing sensor P0340

Auto gentlemen walks like a doll, the reason was still in the starter, it took so much power to start up that other drivers went crazy.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2013 Ducato 3.0 experiencing significant issues, including loss of power, emergency mode activation, and firing problems, accompanied by error codes P0748 and P0778. The owner reported intermittent power loss and eventual failure to start after driving approximately 500 km. Initial troubleshooting included replacing the high-pressure pump output regulator and fuel filter, but the errors persisted. Subsequent investigation revealed corrosion in the wiring harness connected to the engine controller, leading to a repair of the controller. After repairs, the vehicle started but exhibited poor performance, including limited RPM response and additional error codes related to injection and variable valve timing. Ultimately, the issue was traced back to the starter, which was drawing excessive power, affecting overall vehicle operation.
