Hello, I have a problem with high-quality DVB-T signal. I bought an Evology lmdtv04 antenna with power supply and antenna separator, outdoor / indoor, VHF / UHF reception range. The antenna is mounted on the balcony railing (second floor of the block) in the direction of RTCN Trzeciewiec, my location is Bydgoszcz Fordon, the distance from the transmitter in a straight line is approx. 11-12 km and I have a problem with the signal quality, so the TV detects MUX1,2,3,8 but there is a weak jumping signal. Signal strength within 90%. The antenna is connected directly to the separator and the original one to the TV with the attached cable. Anyone have any idea how to improve signal quality? cable fault?

Change the antenna to passive, without amplifier. And without a power adapter. What you are describing is a clear example of total clipping with too strong a signal.

Note: Turning off the power to the amplifier mounted near the antenna is not a solution. The unpowered amplifier introduces strong damping ...

For this the way of mounting this "fin". Standing vertically, it will receive signals in vertical polarization, while in Trzeciewiec MUXs 1, 2, 3 and 8 are transmitted in horizontal polarization, ie the 'fin' must be placed 'flat', like a fish fillet in a pan.

you can rotate it to horizontal polarization, I understand that the signal strength from Trzeciewiec is quite strong and the amplifier is not needed? and how would I connect the cable directly to the TV, not through a separator, the signal will not be distorted?

There is to be a balun in the antenna and without a power supply and separator. Plain metal antenna plug, shielded.

It will be a bit difficult to attach a balun to this antenna, because it is an antenna ... unbalanced. This "antenna-like" product comes in many embodiments, and most often the antenna amplifier is an integral part of the sheet / laminate piece with the foil. I used to do such an "antenna" at my Slovak friend, because he had a similar problem with the transmitter standing "a stone's throw".
If you are stubborn, you can omit this amplifier and all you need is a knife and a soldering iron. You can't put these "miracles" in the store ..?

Due to the horizontal polarization of all MUX1,2, 3 and 8 TV signals, the one from the bottom photo will be optimal, but in the "flat" version, without the vertically bent VHF elements. Dipol used to offer something similar to MLOG 6-60, but I haven't seen it lately.
The antenna has a low gain, which is its advantage with very strong signals in Fordon. You may need to use a silencer. After all, Trzeciewiec is visible to the naked eye ...

I bought a new antenna, it works flawlessly, she immediately caught the channels that were already set on the TV, you can see a little weaker signal strength, but at least the signal quality does not jump. Thanks for the advice.

I took a risk and bought an ordinary antenna from a supermarket, it works fine.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with the Evology LMDTV04 antenna, which is experiencing weak DVB-T signal reception in Bydgoszcz Fordon, approximately 11-12 km from the RTCN Trzeciewiec transmitter. Users suggest that the problem may stem from the antenna's amplifier, recommending a switch to a passive antenna to avoid signal clipping due to excessive amplification. It is advised to mount the antenna in a horizontal position to align with the horizontal polarization of the transmitted MUX signals. Some users successfully resolved their issues by purchasing different antennas, which improved signal quality and stability.
