    Hello.
I have such a small problem, I would like to find the location of the directory where the wallpapers are located, but those that you install yourself on the desktop (i.e. not systemic). I dug the whole computer and nothing ... in any case, in the system directory where there are wallpapers these are not mine. I flew a program to search image files, also nothing.
Maybe someone could advise me where these wallpapers are sitting. :) Thank you for any hint.
    greetings

I was looking there. In these folders there are only system wallpapers, hmm .... after all, somewhere, however, must be since the wallpaper that I once put on the desktop is still there. :) I care about them because they are nice and I would like to transfer them to another computer.

    Check in the folder:

    C: \ Users \ username \ AppData \ Local \ Packages \ Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy \ LocalState \ Assets

There should be files with an unknown extension, copy them somewhere and add them the extension .jpg and they should surprise.

Alternatively, here you have a page from Microsoft with wallpapers, maybe there are those you are looking for:

The current wallpaper you have on your desktop sits in the AppData directory under the Roaming directory. This is a hidden directory, so first you should set Show hidden files in the folder options and you will find without problems. For me it is like this (I give an example)
    c: \ Users \ username \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Theme \ CachedFiles \ Tapeta.jpg
Instead of "Username" is your name given.

Hello. I have such a problem. Probably my son will delete something from the %appdat%/ windows folder and since then I can't change the wallpaper I only have the one with the windows logo when I change it to another it immediately switches to a solid color and jumps to the set color. On the wallpaper saver they work. Can anyone help me, what can I do to not reinstall windows?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around locating custom wallpapers in Windows 10 that users have installed themselves, as opposed to the default system wallpapers. Users initially checked common directories such as the Windows/Web and Pictures folders but found only system images. A helpful response directed users to the directory: C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalPackagesMicrosoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewyLocalStateAssets, where non-system wallpapers can be found as files with unknown extensions. These files can be renamed with a .jpg extension to access the images. Another user noted that the current wallpaper might be stored in the AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsThemeCachedFiles directory. The original poster successfully located their wallpapers using this information, allowing them to transfer the images before reinstalling Windows. Additionally, a new issue was raised regarding wallpaper changes reverting to a solid color, indicating potential file deletions in the AppData directory.
