    I installed Windows 10 for the first time, after some time it stopped starting. None of the repair options work. I had Windows 7 working on another disk, I connected both of them because I would like to recover files from the Windows 10 desktop. The problem is that I cannot find the "Desktop", "Downloads", Documents ", etc. folder on my Win 10 disk. How do I recover these files? They must be written somewhere

    I know Windows 7 quite well, the problem is on the disk with Win 10 not working and there is no Users directory there.

I noticed that at these moments you can hear characteristic, repeating sounds from the hard drive. For this reason, I installed the HDD Regenerator program and ran it with the scan and repair option.     The disk is visible correctly, all data from the D partition is available, from the C partition those that are visible are also available, no "Users" folder or "Users" folder there. I already suspected in the company laptop that this folder should normally be there.
    Now it's harder .. What's the easiest way to preview a SMART disk?

    You can preview SMART with the following programs:
    - Hard Disk Sentinel
    - CrystalDiskInfo

    Upload screenshots from programs, full windows, because sometimes it crops the bottom attributes, and you need all of them for the analysis.

    It seems to me that HDD Regenerator or Windows CHKDSK has done its job.

    After the SMART analysis, if the disk is in good condition, DMDE will probably be useful, as it should be able to recover data. But this is only after you read SMART correctly.
