    Hello
    I have Golf IV 2006 1.9TDi 110km
when I drove the highway I felt at 120km / h that the car lost a lot on the power of the engine (I could not overtake a lorry in 4th gear at 70km / h). After switching off the engine and restarting it, the power returned until I reached the speed of about 120km / h and so all the time

The car stood out in the parking lot for several hours and I decided to check again, but there were no such symptoms

It seems to freeze at higher speeds and not always.
I'm afraid to ride like this because it may end badly.

Could this be the cause of a damaged air flow meter? Damaged pear or snakes fall off because it probably would not have power all the time.

I will add that I haven't read errors from my computer yet

Buddy's problem with topping up. Mostly leaking vacuum hoses.
This is nothing but a troublesome lack of power.

hello, in my opinion turbo, N75 valve, or leak on the control system, geometry of turbo flow, or turbine for cleaning. Regards

I had the last - after reading the errors vagem indications directed at the blurred geometry.
For you, start by replacing the hoses, cleaning / replacing the N75 and in the last turbo phase. Regards.

Hello, check the ERG valve to see if its operation affects the fuel mixture in the cylinder.
Fire up under the ECU. and Check EGR behavior.

Hello, when did you have your camshaft done?
approximately 75-80 thousand should be changed in these engines
Also check the fuel hoses around the Fuel filter for air banks ...
do you have a leak on the fuel injection pump itself? - sometimes it is difficult to see it best when the temperature is low - below -12
then it's worth looking at the connecting elements with the casing ....
check the tightness of the control hoses, especially those to the valve ... to the valve
    what is your mileage
suspending and lack of thrust would suggest damage to the puff ...
how about a football? do you have everything tight?
    Good luck

As for the course is 274 thousand. I will change the timing.

Strange because today I did the 50km route again and the symptom did not occur.

I also noticed that when the engine is cold (after the whole night) in the morning after firing the burial in white, it is not a steam because it smells and in addition the engine seems to roll on one piston. It takes about 5 seconds. can it be a glow plug through which one piston does not burn fuel well and therefore smokes? After this time, the engine runs evenly

    Hello - Real kilometers? ..
If it fires unevenly, it may be a matter of a candle or candles
Candles are connected in this engine with such a transverse comb - and pinned - in the ends of glow plugs sometimes - if the candles are not original - and some NN Chinese - they like to detach
and then they do not contact - and thus do not smoke ... I founded NGK - type Y - 732 J voltage 12V current 5 A resistance 0.9 total length 91mm embedment depth 24mm and I had peace for 6 years ... I had a Skoda with an engine The 1.9 AHF is the same engine - the newer generation with the aluminum sump ...
Do you know the easiest way to check it?
Just take the electric wire - / larger cross-section - braid and after removing the Comb only with an even and even vigorous movement - for all 4 pins to unhook well ...
connect the cable to the pole + battery - approaching the tip of the glow plug if it is sparking then the candle is alive and works if it is not sparking to be replaced ....
If you were to change it yourself ... you will probably need to loosen the fuel lines to centrally screw the candles in and not to damage the THREAD - Candles also need to be screwed in with the correct moment in Newton - Meters so as not to damage the socket and the thread of the candle ..
And how about the fluid in the radiator - does something change in the expansion tank> what color you have should be pink - or pinkish - and the tank itself should not have any greasy coatings inside because it could indicate some problems with the cooling system or the head gasket. .
As with the engine temperature ... do you have any problems?

It's not all with the engine temperature. I'll check the liquid tomorrow. I'll check the candles when the weather gets better.

Mileage I do not know if the original, the car only a few days in my hands. Candles are definitely 12V? On all models were 12V? because I don't want to smoke.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2006 Golf IV 1.9TDi 110km experiencing intermittent power loss at high speeds, particularly around 120 km/h. The user reports that the engine power temporarily returns after restarting the vehicle. Various potential causes are suggested, including vacuum hose leaks, issues with the turbocharger (N75 valve, geometry), and EGR valve malfunctions. Recommendations include checking and replacing vacuum hoses, cleaning or replacing the N75 valve, inspecting the EGR valve, and examining the camshaft and fuel hoses for leaks. The user also mentions concerns about glow plugs affecting engine performance, particularly during cold starts, and seeks confirmation on the specifications of the glow plugs used in the vehicle.
